In some cases, additional information about the subscription status can be displayed for a license with
subscription.
WORKING WITH THE APPLICATION FROM THE COMMAND
LINE
You can work with Kaspersky Small Office Security from the command line. The capability is provided to perform the
following operations:
activate the application;
start and stop the application;
start and stop application components;
start and stop the tasks;
obtain information on the current status of components and tasks as well as their statistics;
start and stop virus scan tasks;
scan selected objects;
update databases and software modules, roll back updates;
export and import security settings;
open help files using the command line syntax in general and for individual commands.
Command prompt syntax:
avp.com <command> [options]
You should access the application from the command line from the application installation folder, or by specifying the full
path to avp.com.
The list of commands used to control the application and its components is provided in the table below.
START
Starts a component or a task.
STOP
Stops a component or a task. The command can only be executed if the password assigned via the
Kaspersky Small Office Security interface is entered.
STATUS
Displays the current status of a component or task on the screen.
STATISTICS
Displays the statistics for a component or task on the screen.
HELP
Displays the list of commands and command syntax information.
SCAN
Scans objects for viruses.
UPDATE
Starts the application update.
ROLLBACK
Rolls back to the last Kaspersky Small Office Security update made. The command can only be
executed if the password assigned via the Kaspersky Small Office Security interface is entered.
