Use the
buttons to select the applicable error rate (Viterbi rate). When searching for
DVB-S(SD) transponders you need not state the error rate. Instead, “Automatic” appears permanently.
When searching for DVB-S2(HD) transponders you must state the correct error rate. Either QPSK 1/2,
2/3, 3/4, 3/5, 4/5, 5/6, 8/9, 9/10 or 8PSK 2/3, 3/4, 3/5, 5/6, 8/9 or 9/10.
Polarisation
Use the
buttons to select the correct polarisation (horizontal or vertical).
Symbol Rate
Use the number pad to enter the corresponding symbol rate.
Channel Search Mode
Use the
buttons to select the type of channels you want to search for. You have three options:
- “free & scrambled” All channels are searched for
- “only free” Only free-to-air channels are searched for
- “scrambled only” Only encrypted channels are searched for
To view encrypted channels you need an appropriate CI (Common Interface) module and a valid
Smartcard together with a valid subscription to the relevant Pay TV provider.
NIT search (network search)
Use the
buttons (On/Off) to select whether a network search should be performed. If you set
the network search to “Off”, only the factory default transponders for the satellite(s) you previously
selected will be searched for new and as yet unsaved channels. If you set the network search to “On”,
the transponder network enables additional transponders that have not yet been stored to be located.
These are then stored and searched for new channels in the same way as the existing transponders.
Once you have defi ned all the settings, use the
buttons to switch to the “Start Search” selection
fi eld and confi rm the start of the search using the
button.
The following on-screen displays that appear during and in connection with the search are identical to
those for an automatic search.
Main menu - Search Channels
You can cancel the search at any
time by pressing the
button.
