FADER GROUP
The Fader Group option allows you to place the currently selected
channel’s fader into one of four “groups”.
All faders in the same group will follow each other if any of them
are adjusted.
Only fader levels are grouped; all other parameters will stay
independent from each other.
To put a fader in a group, simply click on one of the four buttons labelled “1”, “2”, “3”, or “4”; the
button will light up white if enabled.
To remove a fader from a group, click on the currently active group button; the button will go
back to black and the fader will no longer be in a group.
EXAMPLE USE
1. Bring up channel 1’s channel strip by clicking its channel select button (in the editor).
2. Put channel 1 into fader group 2 by clicking the “2” button in the Fader Group section.
3. Repeat the previous steps for channels 2, 3, and 4.
4. Adjust the fader level of channel 1, either by clicking and dragging the fader in the editor,
or by adjusting the fader level on the K-Mix hardware.
5. Channels 2, 3, and 4 will snap to channel 1’s level and follow any subsequent changes.
6. Adjust channel 2’s fader — now the four channels are following channel 2.
EQUALIZER SECTION
The Equalizer section of the channel strip is home to the EQ parameters. Each of the 8 input
channels (and the main output bus) have their own 3-band, semi-parametric
EQ available.
BYPASS BUTTON
The bypass button enables or disables the EQ on the currently selected
channel.
Fader Group
1 2
3 4
This is an editor-only parameter. It may not be adjusted from the mixer.
This feature is extremely useful for creating and working with linked stereo tracks.
Pan one channel hard left and the other hard right, then add their faders to the same
group; you now have a stereo track with linked volume control. Great for mixing any
gear with stereo outputs!
