The release knob controls the release time of the compressor — the amount of time it takes to
return to zero gain reduction once the input signal drops below the threshold.
• Turn clockwise to increase (longer release); turn counterclockwise to decrease (shorter
release).
• A specic value may be entered into the accompanying number box as an alternative way
of setting the release time.
• Range: 1ms – 5000ms
GATE SECTION
The Gate section of the channel strip is home to the noise gate parameters.
Each of the 8 input channels (and the main output bus) have their own
noise gate available for shaping your sounds.
BYPASS BUTTON
The bypass button enables or disables the gate.
• Clicking the button will toggle the state of the bypass.
• The button will light up orange when enabled (gate on).
• The button will go dark when disabled (gate bypassed).
THRESHOLD KNOB & NUMBER BOX
The threshold knob controls the volume level at which the gate will
engage.
• Turn clockwise to increase (higher threshold); turn
counterclockwise to decrease (lower threshold).
• A specic value may be entered into the accompanying number box as an alternative way
of setting the threshold.
• Range: -70dB – +10dB
• When the effect is enabled, any audio below the threshold will cause the gate to engage.
GAIN REDUCTION KNOB & NUMBER BOX
The gain reduction knob controls how much the gate will reduce the audio when the effect is
engaged.
• Turn clockwise to increase (more gain reduction); turn counterclockwise to decrease (less
gain reduction).
• A specic value may be entered into the accompanying number box as an alternative way
of setting the threshold.
• Range: -70dB – 0dB
