PRE/POST SWITCHES
The aux pre/post switches set whether audio is going to the aux outputs pre-fader or post-fader. The
audio is either tapped before or after the input channel’s volume fader.
When set to “Pre”, the currently selected channel’s volume fader will have no effect on the level
going to the aux; the send level fader will be the only level control.
When set to “Post, the currently selected channel’s volume fader will have an effect on the
audio going to the aux. Both the send level fader and the input channel’s volume fader are in
control of audio going to the aux. If the send level fader is all the way up, but the volume fader
for the selected channel is all the way down (or muted), no audio will be sent to the auxes.
5.2.1.3 – PHONES CHANNEL STRIP
The Phones Channel Strip is where the headphone output monitoring point is set.
To access the Phones Channel Strip, simply click the channel select button above the Phones Output
Fader. The editor will automatically display the appropriate channel strip in the main tab area.
PHONES OUTPUT ASSIGNMENT
These switches allow you to set your K-Mix’s headphone output to monitor any of the four stereo
output busses, any of the eight input channels, or have it act as a discrete stereo output.
Main = Monitoring outputs 1 & 2
Aux 1 = Monitoring outputs 3 & 4
Aux 2 = Monitoring outputs 5 & 6
Regardless of how the pre/post switch is set, the audio will always be post-DSP
effects (EQ, gate, compressor). Please refer to the K-Mix Signal Flow Diagram to see
exactly where the audio is tapped.
