5.2.2.3 – REVERB PARAMETERS
This section of the Reverb tab is home to all of the settable options for the reverb effect itself.
PREDELAY
Adjusts the amount of time between the dry audio and the initial reverb reections.
Lower values result in more instantaneous reections.
Higher values result in an audible delay before the reverb begins.
Range: 0.5ms – 250ms
DECAY TIME
Adjusts the length of the reverb tail.
Lower values create a short reverb decay.
Higher values create a longer reverb decay.
Range: 50ms – 2000ms
DAMPING
Adjusts how quickly the reverb rolls off the high-frequency content.
Less damping results in the high frequencies fading at the same rate as the low frequencies.
High damping results in the high frequencies quickly dropping off while the low frequencies
continue to sound.
Range: 1% – 100%
DIFFUSION
Simulates adjusting the complexity of the reverb’s reections.
Less diffusion is like being in a room with at walls; the reections will be rather uniform and
spaced evenly.
High diffusion is like being in a room with a very complex wall surface; the reections will be
less uniform and spaced unevenly.
Range: 1% – 100%
