5.2.5.1 – USB PRE/POST SWITCHES
The USB pre/post switches are used to set where in the K-Mix signal path audio coming from and going
to a connected computer will be sent to and sent from.
USB input (mixer to computer) and USB output (computer to mixer) can be set separately.
Each of K-Mix’s eight channels can be set individually for both USB input and USB output.
By default the pre/post switches will be set so that K-Mix’s USB I/O acts as a traditional audio
interface. Audio plugged into K-Mix’s inputs will go up USB to a connected computer. Audio from a
connected computer will go directly out K-Mix’s outputs.
USB INPUT (MIXER AUDIO TO COMPUTER)
Input channels 1–8 each have their own “USB Input” pre/post switch. The input pre/post switch
sets where in the signal path the audio from K-Mix gets tapped and sent up USB to a connected
computer.
Pre = Beginning of the signal path, directly after the ADC and just before the DSP effects. Useful
for recording live inputs on the connected computer.
Post = Toward the end of the signal path, just before the nal fader and mute on the output
busses. For the main output bus (outputs 1 & 2) this is also post-DSP and post-reverb return.
Useful for recording your output mix on the connected computer.
By default, these switches are set to “Pre”.
All USB options are editor-only parameters. They may not be adjusted from the
mixer.
