applicationsrequiringproven,reliableperformancein
harsh environments. Whether under-hood or in-cabin,
these devices emphasize the vital and robust nature
ofcapacitorsrequiredformissionandsafetycritical
automotivecircuits.Strictertestingprotocolandinspection
criteriahavebeenestablishedforautomotivegrade
productsinrecognitionofpotentiallyharshenvironmental
conditions.KEMETautomotivegradeseriescapacitors
meetthedemandingAutomotiveElectronicsCouncil's
AEC–Q200qualicationrequirements.
C0Gdielectricfeaturesa125°Cmaximumoperating
temperature and is considered “stable.” The Electronics
Industries Alliance (EIA) characterizes C0G dielectric as
aClassImaterial.Componentsofthisclassicationare
temperaturecompensatingandaresuitedforresonantcircuit
applicationsorthosewhereQandstabilityofcapacitance
characteristicsarerequired.C0Gexhibitsnochangein
capacitancewithrespecttotimeandvoltageandboastsa
negligiblechangeincapacitancewithreferencetoambient
temperature.Capacitancechangeislimitedto±30ppm/ºC
from−55°Cto+125°C.
