KEMET’sHighVoltagewithFlexibleTermination(HVFT-
CAP)surfacemountMLCCsinC0Gdielectricaddressthe
primaryfailuremodeofMLCCs–excracks.Thesedevices
utilizeapliableandconductivesilverepoxybetweenthe
basemetalandnickelbarrierlayersofthetermination
systemwhichinhibitsthetransferofboardstresstothe
rigidceramicbody,thereforemitigatingexcrackswhich
canresultinlowIRorshortcircuitfailures.
Flexibleterminationtechnologyprovidessuperior
experformanceoverstandardterminationsystems.
C0G(NP0)dielectriccapacitorsexhibitnochangein
capacitance with respect to time and voltage and boasts a
negligible change in capacitance with reference to ambient
temperature. Capacitance change is limited to ±30ppm/
ºCfrom−55°Cto+125°C.ThesedevicesexhibitlowESR
athighfrequenciesandndconventionaluseassnubbers
