One world. One KEMET
Surface Mount Multilayer Ceramic Chip Capacitors (SMD MLCCs)
250 VAC Non-Safety Rated AC Capacitors CAN series
(Industrial Grade)
Overview
KEMET’s CAN series are non-safety rated ceramic
capacitors designed for 250 VAC applications where
higher CV values are required but not available in
safety certied MLCCs. These capacitors are qualied
for continuous use under AC line conditions of 250
VAC 50/60 Hz. Available in a variety of case sizes and
industry leading CV values (capacitance/voltage), these
devices exhibit low leakage current and low ESR at high
frequencies.
For added reliability, KEMET's exible termination
technology is an available option that provides superior
ex performance over standard termination systems.
This series is available in X7R and C0G dielectrics. X7R
exhibits a predictable change in capacitance with respect
to time and voltage, and boasts a minimal change in
capacitance with reference to ambient temperature.
C0G exhibits no change in capacitance with respect
to time and voltage and boasts a negligible change in
capacitance with reference to ambient temperature. CAN
series is specically designed and tested for 50/60 Hz line
frequencies and other non-safety critical applications.
