DEMOUNTING A SUPER SINGLE
Super Serpent ™ T2006 #35448 Demount Tool
Break the beads on both sides of the
tire. Always
apply plenty of bead
lubrication to the tire beads before
demounting.
On the side of the tire nearest you,
insert the “spoon” end straight down,
between the rim and first bead, fully
to the sharp bend of the tool (this is
easier when holding the “notched”
end nearer to the floor). If insertion
is difficult, use the mount tool to pry
the bead down, away from the rim,
to form a gap.
Raise the notched end of the tool
to start the first bead out and over
the rim.
With the tool straight up, move to
the opposite side of the tire.
Pull the tool straight across the
center of the wheel and push
down to fully demount the first
bead. If necessary, raise the tool
up and move it sideways to get a
second “bite”, and push down
again.
To remove the second bead, stand
the tire/wheel assembly up. Place
the spoon end of the tool in an
opening opposite the valve stem, as
shown.
BE SURE TO USE PROPER
LIFTING TECHNIQUES TO
AVOID BACK INJURIES. DO
NOT LIFT MORE WEIGHT
THAN CAN BE SAFELY
HANDLED.
Raise the notched end to lift the
assembly.
Continue until the assembly is
fully upright.
