Existing vent should be cleaned before connecting dryer and then every two
years for best performance.
Replace plastic vent with rigid
metal or flexible metal vent.
Vent should be 4" (10.16 cm) wide. Use clamps to seal all joints. Make the vent as short as possible
Do not use duct tape or screws, with the fewest number of turns.
If using existing vent, remove lint Remove lint from hood. Flapper
from the entire length of vent. or louvers should move freely.
Use the Vent System Chart below to determine type of vent material and hood
combination acceptable to use.

Fire Hazard
Use a new UL listed 30 amp power supply cord.
Use a UL listed strain relief.
Disconnect power before making electrical connections.
Connect neutral wire (white or center wire) to center terminal
(silver).
Ground wire (green or bare wire) must be connected to
green ground connector.
Connect remaining 2 supply wires to remaining
2 terminals (gold),
Securely tighten all electrical connections.
Failure to do so can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.
Disconnect power before making electrical connections. An electric dryer requires a 240 volt electrical
supply. Without the correct electrical supply, your dryer may tumble clothes, but will not heat to dry the
clothes. For more information, see Installation Instructions.

Electric dryers use 2 household fuses or breakers. The drum may be turning, but
you may not have heat if one of the fuses has blown, or if one of the circuit
breakers has tripped.
