REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION WARNING WARNING Excessive Weight Hazard: Excessive Weight Hazard: Your refrigerator is heavy. When moving the refrigerator for cleaning or service, be sure to protect the floor. Always pull the refrigerator straight out when moving it. Do not wiggle or walk the refrigerator when trying to move it, as floor damage could occur. Use two or more people to move and install the refrigerator. Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.
REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION WARNING INSTALLATION (continued) 1. To avoid noise and vibration, the unit must be leveled and installed on a solidly constructed floor. If required, adjust the leveling legs to compensate for unevenness of the floor. The front should be slightly higher than the rear to aid in door closing. Leveling legs can be turned easily by tipping the cabinet slightly. Turn the leveling legs counterclockwise to raise the unit or clockwise to lower it. (See LEVELING AND DOOR ALIGNMENT.
REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION NOTE: Removing the doors is the recommended procedure when it is necessary to move the refrigerator through a narrow opening. If it is necessary to remove the handles, follow the directions below. HOW TO REMOVE REFRIGERATOR DOOR HANDLE Mounting fasteners NOTE: Handle appearance may vary from the illustrations on this page. Set screw Removing Refrigerator Handle Loosen the set screws with a 3/32 in. (2.5 mm) Allen wrench and remove the handle.
REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION REMOVING AND REPLACING REFRIGERATOR DOORS Removing the left (freezer) door with water line connection. Pull up the water feed tube while pressing the collet down (Figure 1) as shown in the figure below. WARNING NOTE: If a tube end is deformed or abraded, trim the part away. Disconnecting the tube under the door causes about 0.13 gallons (0.5 liters) of water to flow out. Put a large container at the end of the tube to prevent water from draining onto the floor.
REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION Reinstalling the right (refrigerator) door 5. Reconnect the water tubes by inserting the tubes into the connectors. REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION LEVELING 3. Open both doors again and check to make sure that they close easily. If the doors do not close easily, tilt the refrigerator slightly more to the rear by turning both leveling legs counterclockwise. It may take several more turns, and you should turn both leveling legs the same amount. 4. Replace the base grille. After installing, plug the refrigerator’s power cord into a 3-prong grounded outlet and push the refrigerator into the final position.
USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR SETTING THE CONTROLS CONTROL PANEL FEATURES The refrigerator control functions as the thermostat for the entire appliance (refrigerator and freezer sections). The colder the setting, the longer the compressor will run to keep the temperature colder. The freezer control adjusts the cold air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator. Setting the freezer control to a lower temperature keeps more cold air in the freezer compartment to make it colder.
USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR Ultra Ice CAUTION Demo Mode (For Store Use Only) The Demo Mode disables all cooling in the refrigerator and freezer sections to conserve energy while on display in a retail store. When activated, OFF will display on the control panel. To deactivate: With either refrigerator door opened, press and hold the Refrigerator Temp. and Ultra Ice buttons at the same time for five seconds.
USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR AUTOMATIC ICEMAKER Ice is made in the automatic icemaker and sent to the dispenser. The icemaker will produce 6 cubes per cycle approximately 110 cubes in a 24-hour period, depending on freezer compartment temperature, room temperature, number of door openings and other operating conditions. WARNING Personal Injury Hazard DO NOT place fingers or hands on the automatic ice making mechanism while the refrigerator is plugged in.
USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR AUTOMATIC ICEMAKER (continued) CAUTION • The first ice and water dispensed may include particles or odor from the water supply line or the water tank. • Dispense ice into a glass before filling it with water or other beverages. Splashing may occur if ice is dispensed into a glass that already contains liquid. • Throw away the first few batches of ice (about 24 cubes). This is also necessary if the refrigerator has not been used for a long time.
USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR FOOD STORAGE GUIDE Wrap or store food in the refrigerator in airtight and moisture-proof material unless otherwise noted. This prevents food odor and taste transfer throughout the refrigerator. For dated products, check date code to ensure freshness. Items Freezing Your freezer will not quick-freeze a large quantity of food. Do not put more unfrozen food into the freezer than will freeze within 24 hours (no more than 2 to 3 lbs. of food per cubic foot of freezer space).
USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR REFRIGERATOR SECTION WATER AND ICE DISPENSER DOOR BIN AND SUPPORT To dispense cold water, push on the dispenser switch with a glass. Your refrigerator and freezer feature bins which can easily be arranged for packaged products. Holding both sides, lift the door bin and pull it out . SNACK PAN To remove the snack pan cover, slightly pull out the snack pan . Lift the front part of the snack pan cover and pull out . Some dripping may occur after dispensing.
USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR CRISPER DRAWER AND COVER The crisper drawer allows for better conservation of fruits and vegetables. REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER SHELVES The shelves in your refrigerator and freezer are adjustable to meet your individual storage needs. To remove the crisper drawer cover, open the crisper drawer several inches , lift the front part of the cover and slide the cover out . Adjusting the shelves to fit items of different heights will make finding the exact item you want easier.
USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR FREEZER SECTION ICE STORAGE BIN The ice bin stores the ice cubes made by the icemaker. If you need to remove the ice storage bin, do so as follows: NOTE: Use both hands to remove the ice bin to avoid dropping it. Lift the ice storage bin slightly and pull it out as shown in the figure.
WATER FILTER WATER FILTER It is recommended that you replace the water filter: • Approximately every 6 months. • When the water filter indicator turns on. • When the water dispenser output decreases. • When the ice cubes are smaller than normal. 1. Remove the old water filter. Press the push button to open the water filter cover. NOTE: Replacing the water filter causes a small amount of water (around 1 oz. or 25 cc) to drain.

CARE AND CLEANING INSIDE WALLS (allow freezer to warm up so the cloth will not stick) To help remove odors, you can wash the inside of the refrigerator with a mixture of baking soda and warm water. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart of water (26 g soda to 1 liter water.) Be sure the baking soda is completely dissolved so it does not scratch the surfaces of the refrigerator. WARNING Explosion Hazard CAUTION: While cleaning the inside, do not spray water. Use non-flammable cleaner.
CARE AND CLEANING WHEN YOU MOVE When you are moving your refrigerator to a new home, follow these steps to prepare it for the move. LED LIGHT REPLACEMENT WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard 1. Remove all food from the refrigerator and pack all frozen food in dry ice. 2. Unplug the refrigerator. 3. Clean, wipe and dry thoroughly. 4. Take out all removable parts, wrap them well and tape them together so they do not shift and rattle during the move.
CONNECTING THE WATER LINE BEFORE YOU BEGIN This water line installation is not covered by the refrigerator warranty. Follow these instructions carefully to minimize the risk of expensive water damage. Water hammer (water banging in the pipes) in house plumbing can cause damage to refrigerator parts and can lead to water leakage or flooding. Call a qualified plumber to correct water hammer before installing the water supply line to the refrigerator.
CONNECTING THE WATER LINE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 5. TIGHTEN THE PIPE CLAMP Tighten the clamp screws until the sealing washer begins to swell. NOTE: Do not overtighten clamp or you may crush the tubing. Washer Install the shutoff valve on the nearest frequently used drinking water line. 1. CONNECTING THE WATER LINE 8. FLUSH OUT THE TUBING Turn the main water supply on and flush out the tubing until the water is clear. Shut the water off at the water valve after about one quart of water has been flushed through the tubing. 9. CONNECT THE TUBING TO THE REFRIGERATOR NOTE: Before making the connection to the refrigerator, be sure that the refrigerator power cord is not plugged into the wall outlet. 1. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE COOLING Problem Possible Causes Refrigerator or Refrigerator was recently installed. Freezer section is too warm. Air vents are blocked. Doors are opened often or for long periods of time. Unit is installed in a hot location. A large amount of food or hot food was added to either compartment. Interior moisture buildup. Solutions It may take up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature. Rearrange items to allow air to flow throughout the compartment.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE COOLING/ICE & WATER Problem Food is freezing in the refrigerator compartment. Possible Causes Food with high water content was placed near an air vent. Refrigerator temperature control is set incorrectly. Solutions Rearrange items with high water content away from air vents. If the temperature is too cold, adjust the control one increment at a time and wait for the temperature to stabilize. Refer to the Setting the Controls section for more information.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE ICE & WATER Problem Icemaker is not making enough ice (continued). Possible Causes Doors are opened often or for long periods of time. Doors are not closed completely. The temperature setting for the freezer is too warm. Dispensing water slowly. Water filter has been exhausted. Reverse osmosis filtration system is used. Low house water supply pressure. Not dispensing ice. Doors are not closed completely. Infrequent use of the dispenser.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE ICE & WATER Problem Icemaker is not making ice. Possible Causes Refrigerator was recently installed or icemaker recently connected. Icemaker not turned on. Solutions It may take up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature and for the icemaker to begin making ice. Locate the icemaker ON/OFF switch and confirm that it is in the ON (I) position. The ice detecting sensor is obstructed.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE ICE & WATER Problem Ice has bad taste or odor. Possible Causes Water supply contains minerals such as sulfur. Icemaker was recently installed. Ice has been stored for too long. The food has not been stored properly in either compartment. The interior of the refrigerator needs to be cleaned. The ice storage bin needs to be cleaned. Dispensing warm water. Refrigerator was recently installed. The water dispenser has been used recently and the storage tank was exhausted.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE NOISE Problem Clicking Rattling Whooshing Gurgling Popping Sizzling Vibrating Dripping Pulsating or HighPitched Sound Possible Causes The defrost control will click when the automatic defrost cycle begins and ends. The thermostat control (or refrigerator control on some models) will also click when cycling on and off. Rattling noises may come from the flow of refrigerant, the water line on the back of the unit, or items stored on top of or around the refrigerator.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE PARTS AND FEATURES Problem Doors will not close correctly or pop open. Possible Causes Food packages are blocking the door open. Ice bin, crisper cover, pans, shelves, door bins, or baskets are out of position. The doors were removed during product installation and not properly replaced. Refrigerator is not leveled properly. Solutions Rearrange food containers to clear the door and door shelves.

Si nécessaire, ajustez les pieds de nivellement pour compenser l'irrégularité du sol. La partie frontale doit être légèrement plus haute que la partie arrière pour aider à la fermeture de la porte. Les pieds de nivellement peuvent être tournés facilement en inclinant légèrement le meuble.

INSTALLATION DU RÉFRIGÉRATEUR RETIRER ET REPLACER LES PORTES DU RÉFRIGÉRATEUR Retirer la porte située à gauche (congélateur) avec la connexion à la ligne d'eau. Soulevez le tuyau d'alimentation en eau tout en enfonçant le collet vers le bas (Figure 1), comme indiqué sur la figure ci-dessous. AVERTISSEMENT Risque de poids excessif : REMARQUE : Si l'extrémité d'un tuyau est déformée ou abimée, taillez-la. Le débranchement du tuyau sous la porte entraîne l'écoulement d'environ 0,5 litre d'eau sur le sol.

INSTALLATION DU RÉFRIGÉRATEUR NIVELLEMENT 3. Ouvrez les deux portes à nouveau et vérifiez qu'elles se ferment facilement. Si les portes se ferment difficilement, inclinez légèrement le réfrigérateur vers l'arrière en tournant les deux pieds de nivellement dans le sens antihoraire. Plusieurs tours peuvent être nécessaires et vous devrez tourner les deux pieds le même nombre de fois. 4. Repositionnez la grille de support.
UTILISATION DU RÉFRIGÉRATEUR RÉGLAGE DES CONTRÔLES FONCTIONS DU PANNEAU DE CONTRÔLE Le contrôle du réfrigérateur fonctionne comme thermostat pour l'ensemble de l'appareil (sections réfrigérateur et congélateur). Plus le réglage est froid, plus le compresseur fonctionnera pour maintenir la température basse. Le contrôle du congélateur ajuste le flux d'air froid du congélateur vers le réfrigérateur.
UTILISATION DU RÉFRIGÉRATEUR Ultra Ice • Lorsque vous appuyez sur la touche Ultra Ice, le voyant correspondant s'affichera sur l'écran et restera allumé pendant 24 heures. La fonctionnalité s'éteindra automatiquement après 24 heures. • Vous pouvez la désactiver manuellement en appuyant à nouveau sur la touche.
UTILISATION DU RÉFRIGÉRATEUR MACHINE À GLAÇON AUTOMATIQUE AVERTISSEMENT La glace est fabriquée dans la machine à glaçon automatique et envoyée vers le distributeur. La machine à glaçons produira environ 6 cubes de glace par cycle, soit environ 110 glaçons par période de 24h, en fonction de la température du compartiment congélateur, de la température de la pièce, du nombre de fois que la porte est ouverte et d'autres conditions de fonctionnement.

UTILISATION DU RÉFRIGÉRATEUR STOCKAGE D'ALIMENTS CONGELÉS GUIDE DE STOCKAGE DES ALIMENTS Emballez ou stockez les aliments dans le réfrigérateur dans des emballages étanches à l'air et à l'humidité sauf indication contraire.
