Check "Electrical Requirements" section. 5. Securely tighten ground connector.
You need to: Ground wire Washer
• have the correct electrical supply and recommended Ground
grounding method, connector
If you are:
• direct wiring, use Option 1
• using a power supply cord, use Option 2
Option 1, Direct wire method
1. Route direct wire so that it does not touch dishwasher motors or
lower part of dishwasher tub.

Pull direct wire through hole in terminal box.
Helpful Tip:
• Select the proper size twist-on
connectors to connect your household
wiring to 16-gauge dishwasher wiring. ........
• Insert wire ends into twist-on connector.
Do not pre-twist bare wire.
• Twist connector.
• Gently tug on wires to be sure both are secured.
Connect the wires as follows using twist-on connectors sized to
connect direct wire to 16-gauge dishwasher wire:
Power supply wire: TerminaJ box wire:
white_t_--_white
black--black
ground wire_-green ground connector
ElectricaJ Shock Hazard
Electricaly ground dishwasher.
Connect ground wire to green ground connector
in terminal box.
Do not use an extension cord.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in
death, fire_ or electrical shock.

Tighten clamp connector or
conduit connector screws.
Reinstall terminal box cover
with wires inside terminal box.
The cover must be outside the box on
the left side.

Option 2, Power supply cord method
1. Route the power supply cord so that it does not touch
dishwasher motors or lower part of dishwasher tub.
2. Pull the direct wire through hole in terminal box.

Approved twist-on connector. Do not

• Gently tug on wires to be sure both are

3. Connect the wires as follows using twist-on connectors sized to
connect power supply cord to 16-gauge dishwasher wire:
Power supply wire: Terminal box wire:
white_--_white
bJack-_f-_bJack
ground wire_-_green ground connector
4. Form bare ground wire into a U-shaped hook. Wrap ground
wire hook clockwise around ground connector and under the
washer.
