USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
Pantry Control Panel
Repeatedly press and release right Select button to
change the pantry temperature setting in the sequence
shown below:

Press and hold the Lock button for 3 seconds to turn the
Control Lock on.
The Lock Icon turns on.
Press and hold the Lock button for 3 seconds to turn the
Control Lock off.
>>> Thawing Mode select <<<
Repeatedly press and release left Select button to set
the thawing time. With each press and release, the LED
reading will advance as follows: 4hr


12hr

LED off

4hr (LED off is default setting)
APP will light up when the setting is controlled via the
app.
The following table lists Pantry Drawer Thawing Mode
times by meat type and weight.

Testing to determine times was performed on meat frozen
at 0°F. The meat was placed on an Accela Thaw™ tray
and into the Pantry Drawer set to Thawing Mode until the
center of the meat reached 25°F and meat consistency
softened. Prior to freezing the meat was wrapped in
plastic food wrap and all air bubbles were pressed out of
the wrapping.
Thawing Mode results can vary based on the shape of the
meat and the type of packaging used. For fastest thawing
place meat on the Accela Thaw™ tray. Not using the tray
willslowdownthawingspeed.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends that
meats be thawed at 40°F degrees or below :

The thawing function of this Pantry Drawer thaws meat at
around39°F.
The Kenmore app offers a wide range of thawing times
upto24hours.Thawingcanbestoppedatanytime
using the app or by selecting a different function-related
temperature for the Pantry Drawer.
Once app or drawer control panel selected thawing time
completes, the temperature will drop to safe meat storage
temperature of 29°F. Reselect holding temperature if Meat
&Seafood29°Fdegreesisnotpreferred.
Note that non-meat items contained in the drawer during
the thawing process will be stored in an environment
rangingfrom39°Fto29°F.
When set to Meat & Seafood do not store liquids with
a freezing temperature of 29°F or higher in the drawer
for an extended period of time or they may freeze. Use
the app or drawer control panel to select the Cold Drinks
(33°F) setting or higher.
Dispenser Control Panel
Touch the Water, Cube Ice or Crushed Ice Icon according
to your needs. If you want to turn the H2 Water module
on, press the Water Icon. H2 will illuminate in the icon.
Press the Water Icon to turn the H2 Water module off.
