Attach a piece of stabilizer on the wrong side (Bottom side)
of the fabric.
Draw letters on the fabric with tailor's chalk. Form each
pattern with a satin stitch, adjusting the stitch width.

Baste applique pieces on the fabric, or fuse the applique
pieces with an iron-on fabric joiner. Stitch around the
applique, making sure the needle falls along the raw edge
of the applique.
NOTE:
Maximum stitch width for pattern #7 is 1.4" (3.5 mm)
when setting the stitch width control at 6.5.
