If Laundry Center
does not start:
o Is plug disconnected from power
supply or is plug loose in outlet,
not making good connection?
= Is house fuse blown or circuit
breaker off?
o Is washer Timer knob pulled out?
Lid closed if in spin cycle?
_, Is dryer door closed? Timer set?
Have you pressed the Start button
for about 2 seconds?
€, The internal motor protector wilI
stop the motor if it is overheated,
but will automatically reset after
the motor cools. On the washer,
the lid must be closed if in spin
cycle. You must press the Start
button for two seconds to restart
the dryer.

If articles are still wet
at end of spin cycle:
= Unbalanced load? Unit is de-
signed to complete cycle with un-
balanced load which could leave
articles damp. Redistribute
articles and repeat spin cycle.
• Drain system clogged or re-
stricted?
If articles are not
drying satisfactorily:
e Is lint screen clean?
o Is exhaust vent duct free of
obstruction or lint blockage?
o Is Temperature Selector set at
AIR FLUFF (no heat)?
= Are there too many articles in the
dryer? Check loading section of
this book.
,If water does not enter
properly:
= Are faucets turned on?
= Check screens at water valve and
clean if necessary.
If water does not drain
properly:
• Are there kinks in drain hose?
Is drain system clogged or
restricted?
A severely unbalanced toad will
allow unit to complete cycle but wilt
spin at a very slow spin. This allows
artictes to be rinsed but they wilt
need further attention after washer
finishes cycle. Redistribute articles
evenly in tub and set timer at start of
final spin to allow a complete final
spin.
If articles are spotted
or not clean:
= Iron in water? May need iron
remover or softener.
• Check fabric softener dispenser_
cracked? Undiluted fabric
softener applied directly to
articles will cause stains which
resemble oil or grease stains.
• Overloading washer? Check load-
ing section of this book.
