Prevent Injury
[_CAUTION tTo prevent injury,
never reach into the washer while
parts are moving. Before loading,
unloading or adding items, push in
the Cycle Selector. Allow the tub to
coast to a complete stop before
reaching inside.
!A-CAUTIONI To prevent injury,
do not reach into the appliance if
the drum is moving. Wait until the
machine has stopped completely
before reaching into the drum.
[_WARNING t To prevent personal
injury or damage to the laundry
center, the electrical cord of a gas
dryer must be plugged into a proper-
ly grounded and polarized 3-prong
outlet, The third grounding prong
must never be removed. Never
ground the dryer to a gas pipe. Do
not use an extension cord.
_--W'ARNING i To prevent personal
injury and damage to the washer or
dryer:
* Do not repair or replace any part
of the washer or attempt any
servicing unless specifically
recommended in this Owner's
Guide. Use only authorized parts.
o Do not tamper with controls.
* Do not install or store this washer
and dryer where it will be exposed
to the weather.

products. Incorrect usage can
produce poisonous gas--resulting in
serious injury or death.

for use in one load unless speci-

with ammonia or acids such as

sort wash load by color, fabric and construction, amount
of soil and liming.
DO add measured amount of detergent or soap to the empty
washer. Follow the recommendations on the detergent
(soap) package for the size load, soil and water condi-
tions. In hard water areas slightly more detergent may be
required for satisfactory results.
DO dissolve powdered detergent in warm water before add-
ing to a cold wash.
DO choose the correct water level for the size of your wash
load.
DO select the wash cycle designed for the load to be washed.
DO read additional information in this guide that will help to
make your laundering experience a satisfactory one.
DO NOT put fabric softener in the same water as soap, detergent
or other laundry aids. Oilqike spots on articles may
result.
DO NOT overload the washer. Articles must have room to move
and turn freely.
DO NOT put anything on top of Laundry Center.

__ The Laundry
Center must be installed and electri-
cally grounded in accordance with
local codes by a qualified service
person to prevent electric shock
hazard and assure stability during
operation. Installation instructions
are packed on top of the washer for
installer's reference. Refer to IN-
STALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
for detailed grounding procedures.
If the Laundry Center is moved to a
new location, have the washer
checked and reinstalled by a quail-
fled service person.
