SETTING DRYER
CONTROLS
I. Place wash load in dryer. Never
dry more than one wash load at a
time. Close dryer door.
2. Set DRYER TEMPERATURE
to desired selection. See Control
Settings Chart (page 5) for sug-
gested settings.
3. Turn DRYER TIMER knob to
the desired cycle, Timed or
Automatic. See Control Settings
Chart (page 5) for suggested
Timer settings. When selecting
Automatic cycles, set on More
Dry or Less Dry or Midway
between the two settings and
your dryer will automatically
provide dryer time for each load.
4. Push and hold Start button
about 2 seconds to start dryer.
5. Cycle-end Signal sounds when
drying time is completed.
Remove dried load promptly to
minimize wrinkling. If load is
removed before cycle is com-
pleted, turn Dryer Timer to OFF.
COOL DOWN
Last 4-6 minutes of Automatic Dry
and Timed Dry Cycle is COOL
DOWN period (clothes tumble
without heat). This keeps press in
permanent press items and helps
prevent wrinkling.
USE OF FABRIC
SOFTENER SHEETS
Over use of fabric softener can
cause buildup of softener in
clothing, giving a greasy feeIing.
Buildup can also form on lint screen
and restrict airflow. Softener build-
up on lint screen can be removed by
washing in warm soapy water.
Buildup in clothing can be removed
by:
* reconditioning load with water
conditioner (follow package in-
structions), or
o laundering several times without
using fabric softener.
[AVVARN/NG_ Fluorocarbon aero-
sol spray fabric softeners are not to
be used in this dryer. Damage result-
ing from use of this type of softener
can be considered as misuse of
dryer. Failure to follow this warning
can cause serious personal injury.
[_N] Pump spray fabric
softeners sprayed directly on dryer
rear panel can build up. Use of
fabric softener sheets preferred.
SAFETY FEATURES
AND INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY DOOR SWITCH stops
dryer automatically if door is
opened during a cycle. Close door,
push and hold Start button about 2
seconds to. start. Cycle resumes
automatically from point where
stopped.
AUTOMATIC MOTOR PRO-
TECTOR stops motor:when over-
heated from overload. It resets
automatically after motor cools for
approximately 30 minutes. Push
and hold Start button about 2
seconds to resume cycle. Door must
be closed.
AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE
HI-LIMIT SWITCH shuts off heat
in event of overheating.
[,_WARNING_Do not operate
dryer if lint screen is blocked,
damaged or missing. Overheating,
damage to fabrics and fire hazard
canoccur.
