Issue #1:
My Water Optimizer is dispensing slowly.
Solution 1: Check to ensure you home’s water line is providing sucient water pressure.
Solution 2: Something may be restrictng water ow. Is a section of tubing pinched? Are all
of the valves between your water source and the Optimizer open as far as they’ll go?
Solution 3: Your lter(s) may need replaced. Filter(s) will slowly become more clogged
by the contaminants they lter out, slowing water ow. The lifespans we list are average,
and may vary greatly for those with abnormaly high contaminants in their water.
Solution 4: If you are using the optional external lter, and have not ascertained whether
or not it is necessary, you can try removing it. Remember, it is only recommended for
scenarios where their are higher than normal levels of large particle contaminants
present, to extend your primary lters lifespan. If such contaminants are not present in
signicant quantities, it will be ineective, and possibly unnecessary.
Solution 5: As a nal solution, if your water source doesn’t require submicron ltration,
you can swap your primary lter with a Polishing Filter (KMFLTEZ4) that can be
purchased separately from the Kenmore website, Drinkpod.com, and select retailers.
In comparison to the primary ULTRA+3 Filter (KMFLTEZ5) that was included with your
Water Optimizer, it trades o submicron ltration capabilities for a higher owrate, and
extended lifespan.
Issue #2:
My lter lifespan seems very short.
Solution 1: Are your lters in the wrong order? Review the order in which you’ve installed
your lters, and ensure they match the correct order shown here, “Filter Details” on
page 6. Instructions for moving and replacing lters can be found here, “Replacing
Your ’s Filters” on page 13.
Solution 2: Filters will slowly become more clogged by the contaminants they lter out,
slowing water ow. The lifespans we list are average, and may vary greatly for those
with abnormaly high contaminants in their water.
