Setting item Description
MENU LANGUAGE Select the language of the DVD Video menu.
AUDIO LANGUAGE Select the language of the DVD Video audio.
SUBTITLE Select the language of the DVD Video subtitle.
ON SCREEN LANGUAGE Select the language displayed on the setting screen.
Setting item Description
MONITOR TYPE
Select the setting suitable for the TV set.
16:9 NORMAL:
Used for wide-TVs whose aspect ratio is fi xed to the 16:9 picture.
The system displays black bars at the left and right of normal (4:3) pictures.
16:9 AUTO:
Used for wide-TVs that automatically recognizes the aspect ratio of the picture.
A picture is displayed depending on its aspect ratio.
When a normal (4:3) picture is input
When a 16:9 picture is input
4:3 LB:
Letter box. Used for normal (4:3) TVs. The system displays black bars at the top and bottom
of wide pictures.
4:3 PS:
Pan scan. Used for normal (4:3) TVs. The system cuts off the left and right sides of wide pic-
tures. (Note that the letter box is used if the disc does not support the pan scan.)
If the selected language is not included in the disc/fi le, the optimal language is used.
