Setting item Description
DIGITAL AUDIO OUT Select the output signal type based on the external device connected to the [DIGITAL
OUT] terminal of the system. See “Relation between DIGITAL AUDIO OUT Settings
and Output Signals” for details. (See P.94)
PCM ONLY:
Used for devices that support only the linear PCM.
DOLBY DIGITAL/PCM:
Used for devices that have a Dolby Digital decoder or equivalent function.
STREAM/PCM:
Used for devices that have a DTS/Dolby Digital decoder or equivalent function.
Setting item Description
PICTURE SOURCE
Select the setting suitable for the picture source.
AUTO:
Automatically determines the source material (FILM/VIDEO).
FILM:
Suitable for the fi lm source as well as the video source recorded in the progressive
scanning mode.
VIDEO:
Suitable for the video source.
SCREEN SAVER
Turn on/off the screen saver.
The screen saver is activated after a still image has been displayed for 5 minutes
without any user operation.
FILE TYPE
Select the type of fi le to play if a disc contains diff erent types of fi le (audio/still im-
age/video).
AUDIO:
Plays the MP3/WMA fi les.
STILL PICTURE:
Plays the JPEG fi les.
VIDEO:
Plays the ASF/MPEG1/MPEG2/DivX fi les.
HDMI DVI COLOR
You can select the settings for the picture appearance (image quality, color intensity
and black fading) on the TV connected to the [HDMI MONITOR OUT] terminal.
STANDARD: For normal usage
ENHANCE: The main unit automatically adjusts the picture appearance.
HDMI OUT You can select the video signal type output from the [HDMI MONITOR OUT] termi-
nal.
AUTO: For normal usage. The main unit automatically selects the output video sig-
nal type according to the TV connected to the [HDMI MONITOR OUT] terminal.
RGB: Select this item if no picture appears on the TV with the “AUTO” setting. The
output video signal type is set to the RGB signal.
