4 HD indicator
When receiving a digital HD radio broadcast, the
HD indicator lights up in orange.
When receiving an analog HD radio broadcast,
the HD indicator lights up in gray.
When receiving a conventional radio broadcast,
the HD indicator is turned off.
5 Text information
• Touching [<] scrolls the text if not all of the text
is shown.
• Touching [
] switches the information (e.g.
frequency, channel no., station name, artist, etc.).
The availability of the information vary
depending on the reception, selected station
or channel.

7 Selects the band (AM/FM)

9 Indicators
MC: Lights up when receiving an HD Radio
multicast channel.
DIGITAL: Lights up when receiving digital signals.
ANALOG: Lights up when receiving analog
signals.
EA: Indicates the status of the emergency alert
as follows:
Lights in white: The current station supports the
emergency alert.
Lights in orange: Receives the emergency alert
or snoozes/ignores the reception.
Turns off : Emergency alert is deactivated.
ST: Lights up when receiving stereo broadcast.

Operation keys on source control screen
The appearance of the operation keys may differ,
however the similar operation keys have the same
operations.
See also “Common operation keys on source control
screen” on page 11.
Touching the operation keys performs the following
actions:

Direct]
Displays the direct station/channel
search screen.
[PTY] (For FM RBDS features)
Enters PTY search mode.
1 Touch a PTY code to search for.
2 Touch [Search].
If there is a station broadcasting a
program of the same PTY code as you
have selected, that station is tuned in.
[AME] Presets stations automatically.
[RCV] Changes the HD Radio reception mode.
AUTO: Switch between digital and
analog audio automatically.
Digital: Select this to tune into digital
audio only.
Analog: Select this to tune into
analog audio only.
[Emergency
Alerts]
Activates/deactivates the reception of
the emergency alert message.
[Alert
Message
Log]
Displays the received emergency alert
message list.
