Your discs can get scratched if you put them in a dusty disc slot. Lens Fogging Right after you turn on the car heater in cold weather, dew or condensation may form on the lens in the disc player of the unit. Called lens fogging, discs may be impossible to play. In such a situation, remove the disc and wait for the condensation to evaporate.

VIDEO CD (VCD) A type of CD which contains the recording of moving images.

With automatic time adjustment, you can set the clock time automatically according to time data sent from RDS stations (after receiving RDS signals for several minutes). You can also set the time manually if the automatic time adjustment function is turned off. The factory default is automatic time adjustment.

When the mark at the upper right is touched, the adjustment is completed and the system setup menu screen reappears.

This function helps prevent theft. A Using the Security System NOTE You must follow steps 1 to 5 to be able to use the Security Code function. Turning off the power during the procedure will deactivate the security code setting.

The use of different screws might result in damage to the main unit. • Damage may occur if a screwdriver or similar tool is used with excessive force during the installations. NOTE Make sure that the unit is installed securely in place.

Carefully check the installation location as the tape can only be stuck on once. • If the surface temperature of the glass of the rear window is low, warm it by turning on the power of the rear defogger. A cold window glass surface will weaken the adhesive strength of the double-sided tape.

Before calling service, first check the following table for possible problems. PROBLEM The power does not turn on. POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION The fuse has blown. After checking for short circuits in the wires, replace the fuse with one having the same rating. No ACC position on vehicle ignition.

Connect the wire correctly, referring to the section on "Connection". The TEL mute function turns on even though the TEL mute wire is not connected. The TEL mute wire is touching a metal part of the car. Pull the TEL mute wire away from the metal part of the car. The sound/picture skips on a DVD/VCD/CD.
