TEL Mute Function Control mode The audio system automatically mutes when a call comes in. To set up various functions of this unit, select treestructured function items. When a call comes in "CALL" is displayed. The audio system pauses. 1 Enter Function Control mode Listening to the audio during a call Press the [SRC] button. The "CALL" display disappears and the audio system comes back ON. When the call ends Hang up the phone. The "CALL" display disappears and the audio system comes back ON.

Theft Deterrent Faceplate The faceplate of the unit can be detached and taken with you, helping to deter theft. Removing the Faceplate Press the Release button. The faceplate is unlocked, allowing you to detach it. ¤ • The faceplate is a precision piece of equipment and can be damaged by shocks or jolts. • Keep the faceplate in its faceplate case while detached. • Do not expose the faceplate (and the faceplate case) to direct sunlight or excessive heat or humidity.

Play function of CD and Audio file • During random play, turn the control knob right to randomly select the next song. Indication of this Security Code activation prevents your precious audio unit from stealing. ⁄ • You can set the Security Code with a 4 digit number of your choice. • The Security Code cannot be displayed or referenced.

Removing the hard rubber frame 1 Engage the catch pins on the removal tool and remove the two locks on the upper level. Upper the frame and pull it forward as shown in the figure. Screwing the Faceplate on the Unit If you want to fasten the faceplate to the main unit so that it does not fall off, screw in the provided screws in the holes shown below. Troubleshooting Guide Some functions of this unit may be disabled by some settings made on this unit. ! ! ! ! Cannot switch to Aux source. ▲ • AUX is not turned on. ☞ (page 51) • AUX cannot be used when the KCA-iP200 is connected. Cannot set up the Dual zone function. ▲ In the speaker select option, None is selected for the rear speakers. ☞ (page 12) ! • Cannot set up the Fader. • No Audio control effect on AUX.
What might seem to be a malfunction in your unit may just be the result of slight misoperation or miswiring. Before calling service, first check the following table for possible problems. HD Radio source ? General ? The Touch Sensor Tone does not sound. ✔ The preout jack is being used. ☞ The Touch Sensor Tone cannot be output from the preout jack. ? Switching between negative and positive display modes takes place automatically.
Troubleshooting Guide The messages shown below display your systems condition. Eject: • No disc magazine has been loaded in the changer. The disc magazine is not completely loaded. • No CD in the unit. No Disc: No disc has been loaded in the disc magazine. TOC Error: Read Error: • No disc has been loaded in the disc magazine. • The CD is quite dirty. The CD is upsidedown. The CD is scratched a lot. • The number of files or folders which are stored in the connected USB device is above the limitation.
No Device: The USB device is selected as a source although no USB device is connected. N/A Device: An unsupported USB device is connected. ➪ For the supported USB devices, refer to . No Music Data/ Error 15: • The connected USB device contains no playable audio file. • The Internal Memory source contains no playable audio file. • Media was played that does not have data recorded that the unit can play.
