• GPS antenna E can be installed either inside or outside of the car, but either way it should be
installed as horizontally as possible to allow easy reception of the GPS satellite signals.
• The reception conditions of the GPS satellite will be less favorable with installation inside the
car as compared to outside the car. Depending on the type of car, reception of the GPS satellite
signals might not be possible with an inside installation. Installation outside of the car is
recommended if circumstances allow.
• The GPS antenna should be installed at a position that is spaced at least 12 inch (30 cm) from
cellular phone or other transmitting antennas. Signals from the GPS satellite may be interfered
with by these types of communication.
• Do not remove the tape from the back of the GPS antenna. When the tape comes off, the
waterproof effectiveness is diminished and this may cause a fault in the GPS antenna.
• Painting the GPS antenna with (metallic) paint may cause a drop in performance.

■ Installation of the GPS Antenna
■ Installation Outside the Car
Installation to the trunk lid is made with the GPS antenna E
built-in magnet.
1. Affix the waterproof pad that accompanies E at the
place that comes up against the waterproof rubber lining
the trunk.
2. Draw the cable of E from the trunk lid into the trunk.
■ Installation Inside the Car
Install at a place close to the window surface at the center of
the rear tray or on the inside of the rear window to allow easy
reception of the GPS satellite signals.

1. Peel off the release paper of F and affix to placement
position of E.

• L'antenne GPS E peut être installée à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur de la voiture, mais dans les
deux cas elle doit être installée le plus horizontalement possible afin de permettre une réception
facile des signaux de satellite GPS.
• Les conditions de réception du satellite GPS seront moins bonnes avec une installation à
l'intérieur de la voiture comparée à une installation à l'extérieur de la voiture. En fonction du
type de voiture, la réception des signaux satellite GPS pourraient ne pas être possible avec une
installation intérieure. L'installation à l'extérieur de la voiture est recommandée si les
circonstances la permettent.
• L’antenne GPS doit être installée à une distance d’au moins 12 pouces (30 cm) du téléphone
mobile ou d'autres antennes d'émission. Les signaux de satellite GPS peuvent créer des
interférences avec ces types de communication.
• Si le ruban adhésif se détachait, cela réduirait l’étanchéité et risquerait de provoquer une
défaillance de l’antenne GPS.
• Le fait de peindre l'antenne GPS avec une peinture (métallique) risque de réduire la
performance.

L'installation sur le couvercle du coffre à bagages est effectuée
avec l'aimant intégré de l'antenne GPS E.
1. Apposer le feutre étanche fourni E contre le joint en
caoutchouc du coffre.
2. Tirer le câble E dans le coffre.
■ Installation à l'intérieur de la voitur
Installer à un endroit près de la surface de la vitre au centre de
la plage arrière ou à l'intérieur de la vitre arrière afin de faciliter
la réception des signaux de satellite GPS.

1. Enlever le papier de F et le coller sur l’emplacement E.
2. Placer E sur F.
