SECTION 2 Helpful Hints Plug Power Cord into an Independent, Grounded Outlet – If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your Brewer may not function properly. The Right Water Makes a Difference – For the best-tasting gourmet coffee, tea, or hot cocoa, Keurig recommends using bottled or filtered water. We do not recommend using distilled or reverse osmosis water. Note that water quality can vary from place to place.
SECTION 3 Buttons & Indicators Power Button (does not illuminate) Your Next Brew Press to turn the Brewer power on and off. When the brewing process is complete, the Add Water Indicator light will appear. At this point you can begin making the next beverage, or you can power off. Add Water Indicator Flashing Blue — Fill the Cold Water Reservoir with cold water until it reaches just under the rim of the desired level – 6, 8, or 10 ounces of the Water Level Guide.
SECTION 4 Set-Up & Operation Initial Cleansing & First Brew CAUTION: Two sharp needles are used to puncture the K-Cups. One is above the K-Cup Holder and the other is in the bottom of the K-Cup Holder. To avoid risk of injury, do not put your fingers inside the K-Cup Assembly Housing. BREW BREW CAUTION: During the brewing process, the water gets extremely hot. To avoid risk of injury, do not lift the Brewer Handle or open the K-Cup Assembly Housing until brewing is complete.
For accurate measuring, do not fill if Brewer Handle is up. In the down position it prevents water from entering the lower heating compartment. MAX 10 oz 8 oz 6 oz MIN 2 3 Press the Power Button. The Add Water Indicator will flash blue. 4 Lift the Cold Water Reservoir Lid. The Power Button does not illuminate. Pour water anywhere within the Cold Water Reservoir until it reaches up to the rim of your desired fill level on the Water Level Guide (minimum of 6 oz). Lower the lid.
SECTION 4 Set-Up & Operation (continued) 5 Sec 5 Let water fully drain into Brewer before lowering the Brewer Handle. DO NOT remove foil lid or puncture K-Cup. 6 Lift the Brewer Handle. Water starts to drain from the Cold Water Reservoir into the Brewer. If you add more than 10 oz., excess water goes into the Drip Tray. 7 Place mug on the Drip Tray. 8 Insert the K-Cup portion pack into the K-Cup Holder.
BREW BREW 2 Min BREW BREW 9 10 11 The BREW Button will flash blue. Press the BREW Button. The BREW Button will flash red to indicate that the water is heating. After about 2 minutes, the BREW Button will turn solid red when the beverage starts to dispense. Enjoy your beverage! Your Brewer is ready to use again or you can power it off. ! CAUTION: Do not lift the Brewer Handle while brewing. As a safety feature, Brewer automatically shuts off after 90 seconds.

SECTION 5 Cleaning & Maintenance (continued) Cleaning the Cold Water Reservoir Emptying the Internal Hot Water Tank It is normal over time for discoloration, spotting or staining to appear in the Cold Water Reservoir. Results will vary depending on the mineral content of the bottled or filtered water used but will not affect the operation of the Brewer. However, be sure to clean the Cold Water Reservoir regularly to minimize build-up. Brewer must be powered off but plugged in.
De-Scaling Your Brewer (continued) Storage FILL, CLEAN AND RINSE Step 1: First Vinegar Rinse • Fill the Cold Water Reservoir with 10 oz. of undiluted white vinegar. • Place the ceramic mug on the Drip Tray. • Lift the Brewer Handle, but do not add a K-Cup. • After 5 seconds, lower the Brewer Handle. • Press the flashing blue BREW Button. It will flash red and then solid red. • Once the vinegar is dispensed, discard hot contents into sink.
SECTION 6 Troubleshooting SITUATION Brewer does not have power BREW Button flashes on red too long Add Water Indicator does not flash blue Brewer will not brew SOLUTION • Make sure the Power Button is pressed. The Add Water Indicator should flash blue after pushing the Power Button. Note that the Power Button does not illuminate. • During normal operation, the Brewer will shut off when it is idle for longer than 90 seconds. Just press the Power Button to restart.
SITUATION Brewer will not brew when used for the first time Brewer only brews a partial brew SOLUTION • Brewer may be cold or frozen. Let Brewer rest at room temperature for at least 2 hours before powering on. • Make sure the Brewer has power (see previous page). • • • • • Allow enough time for water in the Cold Water Reservoir to drain completely into the Brewer. The Exit Needle may be clogged (see page 12). Clean the K-Cup® Portion Pack Assembly if necessary (see page 12).
SECTION 7 Warranty Limited One Year Warranty Keurig® warrants that your Brewer will be free of defects in materials or workmanship under normal use for one year from the date of purchase. It is recommended that you fill out and return the warranty card enclosed with your Brewer so that your purchase information will be stored in our system. Keurig will, at its option, repair or replace the Brewer without charge upon its receipt of proof of the date of purchase.

SECTION 2 Conseils utiles Branchez le cordon d’alimentation dans une prise mise à la terre indépendante – Une surcharge du circuit électrique avec plusieurs appareils risque de nuire au fonctionnement de votre cafetière. Le type d’eau compte – Pour un café gourmet, un thé ou un chocolat chaud au meilleur goût possible, Keurig recommande l’utilisation d’eau embouteillée ou filtrée. L’utilisation d’eau distillée ou filtrée par osmose inverse n’est pas recommandée.

L’eau commencera à s’écouler du réservoir d’eau froide vers l’intérieur de la cafetière. Si vous ajoutez plus que 296 ml/10 oz d’eau, l’excédent d’eau s’écoulera dans la cuvette d’égouttage.

C’est normal. Cet effet varie selon la teneur en minéraux de l’eau filtrée ou embouteillée utilisée, mais ne nuit en rien au bon fonctionnement de l’appareil. Cependant, assurez-vous de nettoyer le réservoir d’eau froide régulièrement pour réduire les accumulations. La cafetière doit être éteinte mais branchée.
Détartrage de votre cafetière (suite) 3e étape : Rinçage à l’eau REMPLISSAGE, NETTOYAGE ET RINÇAGE 1re étape : Premier rinçage au vinaigre • Remplissez le réservoir d’eau froide avec 296 ml/10 oz de vinaigre blanc non dilué. • Placez une tasse de céramique sur la cuvette d’égouttage. • Soulevez la poignée de la cafetière, mais sans insérer de K-Cup. • Après 5 secondes, rabaissez la poignée. • Appuyez sur le bouton d’infusion (BREW) qui est bleu clignotant.
Entreposage Rangement du cordon d’alimentation Avant l’entreposage, vidangez le réservoir interne d’eau chaude et le réservoir d’eau froide. Voir page 32. Entreposez votre cafetière en position verticale, dans un endroit sûr et à l’abri du gel. À l’arrière de la cafetière se trouve un compartiment pratique pour ranger le cordon d’alimentation durant le transport ou l’entreposage (fig. 7). fig.
