7-4 PLC Link Errors
If an error occurs over the PLC link, communication will stop. If this happens, the N-410 display
will be as follows.
If an error occurs, check the following conditions.
1 Are the communication settings (baud rate, data bits, parity and stop bit length) for the N-410
RS-232 side and the PLC (link unit) compatible?
2 Is the N-410 set to "KV", "MELSEC" or "SYSMAC"?
3 Does this match the PLC that you are using?
"7-3 Settings" (Page 7-13)
4 Is there an error or a disconnection in the cabling?
Refer to "RS-232C Connections" (Page 2-7) for more information on confirming connections
with a tester.
5 Are there more devices connected than the PLC can handle?
If the PLC data area being used by the N-410 is outside of the savable range, communication will
not occur.
6 Is the link unit operating properly?
Press the test switch if the device is restarted.
Refer to user’s manual for the link unit for more information.
