General InformatIon
This remote control is designed to separately control your ceiling fan speed and light brightness. There are four buttons (HI, MED, LOW,
OFF) to control the fan speed and power. The light dimmer button will control the light brightness power. The red indicator on the transmit-
ter will light when the button is pressed.

following requirements:
1. Do not use with solid state fans.
2. Electrical rating: 120V 60Hz 3.5A
MAX. motor amps: 1.0
MAX. Light watts: 300W

settInG the Code
This unit has 16 different code combinations. To set the code, perform
the following steps:
A. settInG the Code on the transmItter:
1. Remove battery cover by pressing firmly below arrow on
back of transmitter and slide battery cover off.
2. Slide code switches to your choice of up or down position.
(Factory setting is all up. Do not use this position.
Use a small screwdriver or a ball point pen to slide
switches firmly up or down. (FIG. 1)
B. settInG the Code on the reCeIver:
1. Slide code switches to the same positions as the code you
set on the transmitter (FIG. 2)
2. Replace battery cover on transmitter.

• WarnInG: hIGh voltaGe. Disconnect source of electrical
power by removing fuse or switching off circuit breaker.
• Donotusewithsolidstatefans.
• Electricalwiringmustmeetalllocalandnationalelectricalcode
requirements.
• Electricalsourceandfanmustbe115/120volt,60Hz.Maximum
fanmotoramp,1.0;Maximumlightwatts,300Wincandescent
only.
• Householdelectricalpowercancauseseriousinjuryordeath.
InstallatIon:
1. Remove electrical power from the circuit.
2. Remove ceiling fan canopy from the mounting bracket.
3. Disconnectexistingwiringbetweenceilingfanandsupplyatelectrical
junctionbox.
4. Make connections as follows, using wire nuts supplied:
• Connectgreen/yellowfanwiretobare(ground)wire.
• Connectblackcontrolunitwiretoblacksupplywire(ACL)
• Connectwhitecontrolunitwiretowhitewireofsupply(ACN).
• Connectwhitecontrolunitwire(motorN)towhitefanwire.
• Connectblack/redcontrolunitwire(motorL)toblack/red
fan wire.
• Connectbluecontrolunitwire(forlight)tobluelightwire.
CautIon: If fan or supply wires are different colors, have this unit
installed by a qualified licensed electrician.
5. Pushallconnectedwiresupintojunctionbox.
6. Lay the black antenna wire on top of the receiver, and put the
receiver in the mounting bracket.
7. Reinstall the canopy on the mounting bracket.
8. Restore electrical power.
operatInG transmItter
1. Install 9 volt battery (included). To prevent damage to transmitter,
remove the battery if remote control will not be used for an
extendedperiodoftime.
2. Storethetransmitterawayfromexcessiveheatorhumidity.
3. This remote control unit is equipped with 16 code combinations to
prevent possible interference from or to other remote units, such
as garage door openers, car alarms or security systems. If you find
that your fan and light kit turn on and off without using your remote
control, simply change the combination code in your transmitter
and receiver.
4. Operation buttons of the panel of the transmitter:
hI key - for fan high speed.
med key - for fan medium speed.
loW key - for fan low speed.
off key - for fan speed off.
key - for light brightness and off.
The light function is controlled by pressing the key.
• Holdkeydowntoincreaseordecreaselight.
Holdingthekeydowninexcessof0.7second,light
becomes dimmer. The light varies cyclically in 0.8 second.
• Tapkeyquicklytoturnlightonoroff.
5. memory funCtIon:
When fan or light is turned off by wall control, the fan speed and
lightbrightnesssettingsaremaintained.Thenexttimethefanor
light is turned on it will return to those settings.

•Lightkitswitchturnedon?
•Goodbatteryinthetransmitter?
•Codesetatexactsamepositionsinbothtransmitterand
receiver?
2. Won’toperateatdistance?
• Iftransmitteroperatesfan/lightclosetoxture,butnotat30
feet away, try placing the black antenna wire higher up
throughceiling/outsidethejunctionbox.
