Installation Guide

1) Thread small threaded pipe into end of small loop. Pass
threaded pipe on small loop up through hole in canopy.
2) Thread lockwasher onto end of threaded pipe protruding
from inside canopy.
3) Thread hexnut onto threaded pipe protruding from inside
canopy.
4) Attach open end of one chain link to large loop on top of
fixture body. Attach other open end of that chain link to one
end of chain.
5) Attach open end of one chain link to small loop on canopy.
Attach other open end of that chain link to other end of
chain.
6) Weave fixture wires through chain links no more than 3
inches apart.
7) Pass fixture wire through hole in small loop on canopy and
through hole in canopy.
8) TURN OFF POWER.
IMPORTANT: Before you start, NEVER attempt any work
without shutting off the electricity until the work is done.
a) Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your
home. Place the main power switch in the “OFF”
position.
b) Unscrew the fuse(s), or switch “OFF” the circuit breaker
switch(s), that control the power to the fixture or room
that you are working on.
c) Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position. If the fixture
to be replaced has a switch or pull chain, place those in
the “OFF” position.
9) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap.
Assemble mounting screws into threaded holes.
10) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. (Screws not provided).
Mounting strap can be adjusted to suit position of fixture.
11) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a
hole and two raised dimples. Wrap ground wire from
outlet box around green ground screw, and thread into
hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach
ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and
green ground screw, and thread into mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture
ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector
(not provided.) after following the above steps. Never
connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.
12) Make wire connections (connectors not provided). Reference
chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly.

13) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws
through holes in canopy.
14) Thread knurl knobs onto mounting screws. Tighten knurl
knobs to secure fixture to ceiling.
15) Insert recommended bulb.
16) Carefully place glass down inside bottom cage.
17) Raise bottom cage with glass up to fixture. Carefully pass
hole in top of glass over bulb. Fit glass inside top of cage.
18) Align holes along edge of bottom of cage with holes along
edge of top of cage.
19) Thread one finial down through each hole in top of cage and
through hole in bottom of cage.
20) Screw one threaded cap onto end of each finial protruding
bottom edge of bottom cage. Tighten finials to secure
bottom cage to top cage.
