Installaon Instrucons
Fixture Diagram
CAUTION – RISK OF SHOCK –
Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main
fusebox before starng and during the installaon.
BEFORE INSTALLING:
All installaons should comply with Naonal and local
Electrical codes.
If you have any doubts concerning installaon contact a
qualied licensed electrician.
CAUTION:
To reduce the risk of re, do not install closer than 1 inch to
cabinet wall or in compartment smaller than 12 inches by 12
inches by 12 inches.
Important Safety Instrucons
a) Read all instrucons.
b) Do not conceal or extend exposed conductors through a
building wall, oor or ceiling.
c) Install this system in dry or damp locaons only.
d) To reduce risk of re and burns, do not install this lighng
system where the exposed bare conductors can be
shorted or contact any conducve materials.
e) To reduce the risk of re and overheang, make sure all
connecons are ght
f) Do not install any luminaire closer than 6 inches (15.25cm)
from any curtain, or similar combusble materials.
g) Power supply has two disnct secons for line voltage
(AC Input) and low voltage (DC Output). It is important to
keep the line voltage and the low voltage wires separate.
h) Turn o electrical power before modifying the lighng
system in any way.
NOTE: Kichler 4TD-Series (12V) and 6TD-Series (24V) Power
Supplies are not compable with dimmers when used in
conjuncon with tape light controllers
THIS DEVICE COMPLIES WITH PART 15 OF THE FCC
RULES. OPERATION IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TWO
CONDITIONS: (1) THIS DEVICE MAY NOT CAUSE HARMFUL
INTERFERANCE, AND (2) THIS DEVICE MUST ACCEPT ANY
INTERFERANCE RECEIVED, INCLUDING INTERFERANCE THAT
MAY CAUSE UNDESIRED OPERATION.

7) Total load of the installed lighng system must not
exceed rated waage of power supply.
NOTE: Aer determining the layout of the system,
add the waage of each luminaire/xture together to
calculate the total system consumpon. The calculated
total system consumpon should be equal or less than
the Class 2 power supply rang that is being used.
8) Using the pre-punched knock-outs in the metal
enclosure, route and connect the lighng system leads to
the secondary side (DC Output) of the power supply.
NOTE: Connect posive to the red wire and negave to
the black wire using the supplied wire nuts or other UL
approved connectors. Do not exceed manufacturers’
wiring combinaon specicaons for size and quanty of
conductors.
NOTE: A proper UL listed cable connector must be used
in the knock-outs to provide wire protecon (Connector
provided).
Cauons Installaon Instrucons (connued)
Installaon Instrucons
Save these instrucons
1) Turn o power.
2) Determine desired locaon for mounng power supply.
Power supply should be located within 25’ of rst luminaire.
3) Secure power supply using provided mounng screws.
Secure into wall studs if possible, otherwise; use
appropriate anchors rated for proper wall material and
hanging weight (Not included).
4) Using the pre-punched knock-outs in the metal
enclosure, route the 120V line voltage to the primary
side (AC Input) of the power supply.
NOTE: A proper UL listed cable connector must be
used in the knock-outs to provide strain relief and wire
protecon (Cable connector provided).
NOTE: When using cord and plug accessory (10193, not
provided), cord must be visible for enre run length.
5) Make grounding connecon (Connector provided).
6) Make wire connecons (Connectors provided).
