Installaon Instrucons
Fixture Diagram
CAUTION – RISK OF SHOCK –
Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main
fusebox before starng and during the installaon.
BEFORE INSTALLING:
All installaons should comply with Naonal and local
Electrical codes.
If you have any doubts concerning installaon contact a
qualied licensed electrician.
CAUTION:
To reduce the risk of re, do not install closer than 1 inch to
cabinet wall or in compartment smaller than 12 inches by 12
inches by 12 inches.
Important Safety Instrucons
a) Read all instrucons.
b) Do not conceal or extend exposed conductors through a
building wall, oor or ceiling.
c) Install this system in dry or damp locaons only.
d) To reduce risk of re and burns, do not install this lighng
system where the exposed bare conductors can be
shorted or contact any conducve materials.
e) To reduce the risk of re and overheang, make sure all
connecons are ght
f) Do not install any luminaire closer than 6 inches (15.25cm)
from any curtain, or similar combusble materials.
g) Power supply has two disnct secons for line voltage
(AC Input) and low voltage (DC Output). It is important to
keep the line voltage and the low voltage wires separate.
h) Turn o electrical power before modifying the lighng
system in any way.
NOTE: Kichler 4TD-Series (12V) and 6TD-Series (24V) Power
Supplies are not compable with dimmers when used in
conjuncon with tape light controllers
THIS DEVICE COMPLIES WITH PART 15 OF THE FCC
RULES. OPERATION IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TWO
CONDITIONS: (1) THIS DEVICE MAY NOT CAUSE HARMFUL
INTERFERANCE, AND (2) THIS DEVICE MUST ACCEPT ANY
INTERFERANCE RECEIVED, INCLUDING INTERFERANCE THAT
MAY CAUSE UNDESIRED OPERATION.

7) Total load of the installed lighng system must not
exceed rated waage of power supply.
NOTE: Aer determining the layout of the system,
add the waage of each luminaire/xture together to
calculate the total system consumpon. The calculated
total system consumpon should be equal or less than
the Class 2 power supply rang that is being used.
8) Using the pre-punched knock-outs in the metal
enclosure, route and connect the lighng system leads to
the secondary side (DC Output) of the power supply.
NOTE: Connect posive to the red wire and negave to
the black wire using the supplied wire nuts or other UL
approved connectors. Do not exceed manufacturers’
wiring combinaon specicaons for size and quanty of
conductors.
NOTE: A proper UL listed cable connector must be used
in the knock-outs to provide wire protecon (Connector
provided).

1) Turn o power.
2) Determine desired locaon for mounng power supply.
Power supply should be located within 25’ of rst luminaire.
3) Secure power supply using provided mounng screws.
Secure into wall studs if possible, otherwise; use
appropriate anchors rated for proper wall material and
hanging weight (Not included).
4) Using the pre-punched knock-outs in the metal
enclosure, route the 120V line voltage to the primary
side (AC Input) of the power supply.
NOTE: A proper UL listed cable connector must be
used in the knock-outs to provide strain relief and wire
protecon (Cable connector provided).
NOTE: When using cord and plug accessory (10193, not
provided), cord must be visible for enre run length.
5) Make grounding connecon (Connector provided).
6) Make wire connecons (Connectors provided).
