To protect your family from the dangers of

2. Have heating system, chimney and vents inspected
and serviced annually.
3. Examine vents and chimney regularly for improper
connections, cracks, rust or stains.
What is carbon monoxide?
HOW TO CHOOSE A CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) ALARM
Carbon monoxide is the #1 cause of accidental
poisoning deaths in the United States.
Potential sources of carbon monoxide
Carbon monoxide gas is produced when any fuel
is incompletely burned because of insufficient
oxygen. Wood fires and charcoal grills produce
large amounts of CO. Malfunctioning heating
systems also produce CO.
Remember:
- Carbon Monoxide
alarms don’t last
forever and should
be replaced every
5-7 years.
