SPECIFICATIONS FOR KIDSTUFF PLAYSYSTEMS COMPONENTS
Ages 5-12 Playsystem, 3 1/2" OD Posts, Steel Decks
CLATTER BRIDGE: Bridge planks are rotational-molded, UV-stabilized, high density
polyethylene with non-skid ribs on the top surface, reinforced with galv. steel tubing
on the underside (not powder-coated). Bridge is supported with 5/16" diam., grade
40, welded-link, unpainted, galvanized steel chain. A recessed stainless-steel U-bolt
system locks planks together, securing them to chain and preventing pinch point
entrapment when the bridge flexes. Chains are suspended before attaching the
planks, making this bridge the simplest and fastest to install, maintain, or repair of
any available. Bridge side rails are one-piece welded frames with top rails of 1.90”
OD tubing. Barriers (used for higher bridges) are 1.16” OD, 14 ga., tubing frames
securing colorful UV-stabilized HDPE plastic panels. All metal components are
powder-coated after fabrication except as noted above. All bridge hardware is
galvanized or stainless steel.
STEP CLIMBER: Upper frame is fabricated of 10 ga. 1.90” OD tubing with steps 14
ga 1.31” OD tubing. Steel Decks: Climber is secured and pinned to clamps
attached to 3 1/2” posts at each end. Plastic decks: “J”-frame top bolts to deck as
on Snake and Coil Climbers. Bottom of climber attaches with clamps to 3 1/2” post.
GUARDRAIL WITH WHEEL: See guardrail above. 3/16” steel plate fillet welded to
rail supports a solid, virtually unbreakable HDPE plastic wheel, 13” diam. Wheel
attaches with 1/2” d. stainless steel tamper-resistant bolt and nylon locknut.
All play equipment that children play on shall be in compliance with the current
ASTM F-1487 Standard, and with the current Consumer Product Safety
Commission Guidelines, with evidence provided with the bid. The play equipment
manufacturer shall be ISO 9001-2008 certified.
