PRODUCT INFORMATION
KILZ® RESTORATION™ Primer is a new generation water-based primer, sealer and stainblocker oering performance of
traditional oil and shellac-based primers. It tackles tough stains including heavy water damage, rust, smoke, nicotine, grease,
tannin, ink, pencil, felt marker, pet stains and more. KILZ RESTORATION Primer also seals persistent pet, food and smoke
odors. Topcoat with water-based or oil-based paint. Use to block odors from suboor when replacing carpet or wood ooring.

Thinning: Not recommended. Product is formulated for
use at package consistency only.
Dry Time: @ 77°F, 50% RH
Longer dry time required in cooler temperatures and in
higher humidity.
To Touch: 30 Minutes
To Recoat: 1 hour
SURFACE PREPARATION:
The surface must be clean, free of dust, grease, wax,
peeling paint, mold, mildew and wallpaper paste. If
washing is necessary, use a non-soapy detergent or a TSP
substitute. Rinse well and allow to dry.
Peeling or Checked Paint: Scrape o loose paint and
sand to a smooth surface. Sanding or removal of paint
containing lead is hazardous.
Glossy Surfaces: For maximum adhesion, scu sand the
surface thoroughly before priming.
Masonry, Brick, Stucco and Plaster: KILZ RESTORATION
Interior Water-Base Primer may be used on clean, dry, aged
masonry surfaces. New masonry must be allowed to cure
(dry) at least 30 days before applying KILZ RESTORATION
Interior Water-Base Primer.
Fire Restoration: It is critical to clean smoke damaged
surfaces thoroughly before priming.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you
may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. Contact the National
Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD or visit
www.epa.gov/lead.
CLEAN UP:
Clean all tools and equipment with clean water. For disposal
of empty containers and unused product, contact your
household refuse collection service.
CAUTIONS/LIMITATIONS:
IMPORTANT! Do not open can without reading instructions.
Do not use when air and surface temperatures are below
50°F or above 9F.
• Shelf life under normal conditions is 2 years unopened.
• KILZ RESTORATION Primer has a unique formula and should
never be intermixed with other products.
Do not use on oors or horizontal surfaces prone
to foot trac.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
CAUTION IRRITANT Avoid contact with eyes. May
cause eye, nose and throat irritation. Avoid breathing
of dust, vapors or spray mist. Open windows and doors
or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during
application and drying. If you experience eye watering,
headache or dizziness or if air monitoring demonstrates
vapor/ mist levels are above applicable limits, wear an
appropriate, properly tted respirator (NIOSH / MSHA TC
-23C or equivalent) during and after application. Follow
respirator manufacturers directions for respirator use.
Close container after each use. Wash thoroughly after
handling and before smoking or eating.
FIRST AID: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting.
Get medical attention immediately. If you experience
diculty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh
air. If continued diculty is experienced, get medical
attention immediately. In case of eye contact, ush eyes
immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes
and get medical attention.
