BEFORE INSTALLATION.
Turn off water shut-off valves completely and disconnect
the supply line at the end that is attached to your faucet
stem.
Apply Teflon tape to the male
threads on your
safety check valve as well as on
the faucet stem and thread safety
check valve, be careful not to over
tighten.
Caution: Hand tighten the nut on the
supply line then tighten an extra ¼ turn
with a wrench. Turn on your water
supply and check for leaks.
Thread supply line onto the
safety check valve.
This pair of SAFETY CHECK VALVES, once installed properly, will
automatically stop the water supply to the faucet if water flow suddenly increases to over
3.0 GPM/11.3 LPM, this increase in water flow may be a sign of leaking due to faucet
failure. This SAFETY CHECK VALVE is designed to prevent property damage caused by a
severe leak, and it is intended for onetime use. Do not reuse after it has been triggered
to shut off water supply to your faucet.
