Preparation Inserting and Removing the AA Batteries Before operation, you need to insert the supplied AA (R6 or UM/SUM-3) alkaline batteries. Preparation 8 Preparation Powering the Camera from an AC Outlet You can power the camera from a power outlet by using the supplied AC adapter. Open the jack cover (see page 2). Make sure that the power is off. About DPOF DPOF (Digital Printing Order Format) is a system that allows capture devices to tag information of recorded images on memory cards for printing, number of copies and other details. You can order prints at shops with DPOF-compatible printing.

Setting the Light Sensitivity Available in ], ;, ' or , mode This mode emulates the sensitivity of camera film. The higher the ISO number, the faster the shutter speed you can use. Types AUTO: The camera automatically produces the sensitivity to match lighting conditions. ISO100, ISO200, ISO400: Setting increased sensitivities reduces the time needed to make an exposure.
