Why Watts no longer work as a measure of Mixer power!
MIX WITH THE BEST USING LESS POWER
It’s a common misconception that the power ratings (wattage) is a measure
of the output power of a stand mixer.
However, “watts” only measures the energy used but does not represent
the mixing power.
The rating in watts of a stand mixer are set by measuring the average watt
consumption drawn over a certain period of time (x minutes) by the most
demanding accessory of the mixer, such as the pasta accessory for our tilt-
head stand mixer or the flex edge beater (in a bowl filled with sand up to
80% of the height of the beater) for the 6.9 L bowl-lift stand mixer.
Advanced technology combined with a more efficient motor and
attachments means the new KitchenAid
6.9 L bowl-lift stand mixer uses
less energy while delivering a 1.3 HP output for ultimate mixing power.
