PRODUCT SAFETY
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in fire and/or serious
injury.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put the Blade
Coffee Grinder, USB Adapter, USB Cable, or Battery in water
or other liquid.
3. This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge. Close supervision is necessary
when any appliance is used near children. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. Turn the appliance off ( ), remove the Battery when not in use,
before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts. Do not override any safety
interlock mechanism.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged Battery or
charger or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
Authorized Service Center for examination, repair or
adjustment.
7. If the Battery is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
8. The use of accessories/attachments not recommended or sold
by the KitchenAid may cause fire, electric shock or injury to
persons.
9. Keep hands and utensils away from moving blade while
grinding food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or
damage to the Blade Coffee Grinder. A scraper may be used
only when the Blade Coffee Grinder is not running.
10. Blade is sharp. Care should be taken when emptying the Bowl
and during cleaning.
11. Be certain cover is securely locked in place before operating
Blade Coffee Grinder.
