Instructions for installation and use This is an excessively heavy product and the movement and installation of the hood should be done by at least two or more people. Follow the instructions in this manual carefully. The manufacturer denies all responsibility for damage or fire to the appliance resulting in failure to comply with the instructions in this manual.
Installation The hood comes with plugs suitable for most walls/ceilings. You should however consult a qualified technician to make sure the installation is suitable for your kind of wall/ceiling. The wall/roof should be sufficiently strong to support the weight of the hood.
Installation Fig. 4 • Recirculation mode only: fix the deflector to the frame: a. Insert the deflector from one side of the frame so that the rectangular hole at the centre is facing downwards. b. Fit the deflector with 4 screws from the top of the frame. c. Connect a suitable extraction pipe to the connection ring provided. It should be long enough ( with a diameter of 150mm) to reach the connection ring on the motor unit when it is installed. Use the mathematical formula in the diagram to do this. d.
Installation Fig. 5 • Attach the ceiling perforation layout onto the ceiling (the centre of the layout should correspond with the centre of the hob and the sides should be parallel to the sides of the hob – the side of the layout with the words FRONT on it corresponds to the side of the control panel). Prepare the electrical connection. • Make a hole as shown (4 holes for 4 wall plugs). Insert the 4 plugs into the holes.
Installation Fig. 7 • Hook the frame to the 2 screws on the ceiling and fit securely with another 2 screws (front and back). TIGHTEN ALL THE SCREWS WELL. Fig. 9 • Hook the motor unit onto the frame on 4 screws previously screwed onto the unit. Warning! Pass the electrical cable through the motor unit so that it does not get damaged and so that it is possible to connect to the electrical connection box.

Installation Fig. 10 • Insert the lower chimney flue onto the motor unit (check that the re-edged side is facing upwards) and to keep it temporarily in position, insert the two temporary support rods into the side slots on the motor unit. Place the lower flue on the rods. Note: this is essential as it makes the installation easier. Fig. 11 • Hook the hood onto the motor unit using the 4 screws previously screwed onto the unit and the hook slots on the hood.
Installation Fig. 12 • Connect the electricity to the lamps and control panel. • Remove the temporary support rods holding up the lower flue and lower the flue gently. • Insert the flue in the specific slot on top of the hood. Fig. 13 • Install the two upper covers using 2 screws for each cover.

Maintenance Always disconnect the power supply before carrying out any kind of maintenance work. Cleaning The hood should be cleaned regularly both inside and out (at least as often as you carry out maintenance on the grease filters). Use a damp cloth with mild cleaning products. Avoid using harsh products. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL! Warning: Failure to follow the cleaning instructions on the hood and the replacement and cleaning of the filters, could lead to a fire starting.
Maintenance Carbon filter (Recirculation mode only) Fig. 17 The filter absorbs the unpleasant smells produced when cooking. The carbon filter can be washed every two months in hot water with suitable cleaning fluids, or in the dishwasher at 65°C (when washing in the dishwasher, do a full wash without any plates inside). Shake off any excess water without damaging the filter, then place it in the oven for 10 minutes at 100°C to dry it off completely.
