Flame Height
The cooktop ame should be a steady blue ame approximately
1/4" (6.4 mm) high.
Dual Flame Burner
Single Flame Burner
To Adjust Flame Height:
1. Unplug cooktop or disconnect power.
2. Remove burner grates.
3. Remove the control knobs.
4. Pull cooktop forward to expose the control console screws
on the side of the cooktop burner base.
5. Remove the two screws on each side of the cooktop burner
base that hold the control console in place.
6. Disconnect wiring from the control console.
On Grill Models:
Support the control console in the middle with one arm and
disconnect the grill indicator light with the other hand.
On Griddle Models:
Support the control console in the middle with one arm
anddisconnect the griddle switch connectors and the
grillindicator light with the other hand.
7. Remove console and set aside.
8. Remove the round gasket from the valve stem.
9. Put a control knob onto the valve stem of the burner you
want to adjust.
10. Turn the control knob to LO and light the burner using a
butane extension lighter.
11. Remove the control knob.
12. Use a at-blade screwdriver to adjust the ame height.
Tighten screw to reduce ame height. Loosen screw to
increase ame height.
NOTE: When you are converting to Propane gas, the screw
should be tightened down completely on the single output
valves. The dual output valve should not be adjusted.
13. When nished adjusting the ame height, put a control knob
back onto the valve stem and turn off the burner.
14. Remove the control knob.
15. Replace the round gasket.
