Before using the glass ceramic hob • To make the most of your new appliance, please read the user instructions carefully and keep them handy for future consultation Installation Hob • The Hob has to be set into a worktop between 20 – 50mm deep. • The distance between the lower face of the glass ceramic hob and the cupboard or separating panel must comply with the sizes shown in figure “A”.
Installation A) If the worktop is made of wood, use the appropriate brackets, spring clips and screws provided. • Position the 4 clips (A) around the hob frame, in the slots provided. See Fig. 1. • Measure the centre of the vertical sides of the cut-out as shown in Fig. 2. • Position the centre of the brackets (C) on the centre of the side previously identified. • The upper edge of the brackets must be flush with the worktop surface.
Electrical connections The electrical connection must be made before connecting the appliance to the power supply. The apparatus must be installed by a qualified electrician who is fully aware of current safety and installation regulations. The installation must be carried out in compliance with regulations of the local electricity company. Make sure that the voltage shown on the rating plate is the same as the power supply voltage in your home.
Energy saving tips • • • • Use pans with a diameter is equal to that of the cooking zone. Only use flat bottom pans. If possible use pan lids whilst cooking. Cook vegetables, potatoes etc, using minimum water to keep down cooking times. • A pressure cooker allows you to save even more energy and time. NO! OBTAINING BETTER RESULTS: • Make sure the pan is placed in the centre of the cooking area shown on the induction glass ceramic hob. Safeguarding the environment 1.
Precautions and general recommendations • Warning: this is a heavy products which requires the installation to be carried out by two people. • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensor or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given initial supervision or instruction concerning use of the applaince by a person responsible for their safety.
Hob accessories Child guard accessory AMH 122 This accessory can be obtained from the Customer Care Centre under Part No. 4819 310 18436. Care and maintenance of the glass ceramic hob Clean the cooking area after use, when cool. This will prevent the build up of dirt and make cleaning easier. Important: Avoid the use of steam cleaning equipment. • Use a clean colth, kitchen roll and washing up liquid, or a ceramic glass cleaner.
Troubleshooting guide Hob not working • When pressing the control buttons, follow the instructions in the section “Using the hob” in the enclosed “Product Description Sheet”. • Is there a power failure? • Did you dry the hob carefully after cleaning it? 1. If a cooking area has been selected and an “F” appears, contact the Customer Care Centre and tell them about the F on the display. - With the exception of the message “F03” or “ER03” in which case check that the control panel area is clean and dry.
