PREPARING THE STOVETOP PRECISION KETTLE FOR USE
ABOUT YOUR STOVETOP PRECISION KETTLE
Fill the Kettle with water to the “MAX”
fill line inside the Kettle.
IMPORTANT: Be sure that the vent
holes at the top of the Kettle are clean
and free of obstructions, or the Kettle
may overflow.
Before first use
Before using your Stovetop Precision Kettle for the first time, wash the Kettle and lid
in warm, soapy water, then rinse with clean water and dry.
Fill the Kettle with water to the “MAX” fill line (see example below) and bring to a full
boil.
To avoid damage to the Kettle, do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Since 1919
Your Kettle can be used on electric,
gas, and induction cooking surfaces.
Do not use the Kettle in the oven or
microwave oven.
For best results, match the kettle base
size with the cooktop burner size. If
using on a gas cooking surface, do not
allow gas flames to extend up the side
of the Kettle.
Be sure to lift the Kettle when removing
it from the cooktop surface. Sliding or
dragging may damage the cooktop
surface or base of the Kettle.
Before turning on the burner, ensure
that the kettle lid is securely in place on
top of the Kettle.
Allow the Kettle to cool on a heat-
resistant surface. Do not leave Kettle
on a hot burner.
If there are any signs of damage to the
Kettle, do not use.
If handle is damaged or loose, do not
use. Do not attempt to repair or modify
the handle.
The Kettle is meant to boil water
only. Do not put any other liquids or
substances in the Kettle.
