Speaker Operation
This speaker is designed for use in dry conditions to play
audio via a Bluetooth
®
enabled device
Do not mount device inside cabinet and allow a minimum of
4 inches (10 cm) of space around device while in use
Do not use in wet conditions or near flammable gases or
liquids
Before the First Use
1. Remove the speaker from the box
2. Remove all protective packaging
3. Install Snap-on 18V battery pack
Battery Pack Installation
and Removal
Installing the battery pack:
Slide battery pack onto battery guide rails on speaker
battery port until you hear and audible click into place
Removing the battery pack:
Press release button on battery and slide battery off
the battery guide rails on the speaker
Using AC power
Plug 110V power cord into the AC power port (L) on
the back of the speaker
Plug 110V power cord into a grounded household AC
power outlet
Power Button
To turn the speaker on, press the Power ON/OFF (A)
To turn the speaker off, press the
Power ON/OFF (A)
NOTE: The speaker will also turn off automatically if
there is no activity or connection for 5 minutes
Connecting a Bluetooth
®
Enabled device
1. Confirm the battery is connected or an AC power
cord is plugged into an AC power source
2. Place the speaker and device approximately 3 ft.
(1 m) of each other
3. Confirm the Bluetooth
®
function is enabled and set
to automatically pair on the device
Consult your device manufacturer’s operation
instructions for specific pairing instructions
4. Press Power ON/OFF (A) to turn on the speaker
5. Press the function button (B) until you cycle to
“BT Function”
6. Turn on your Bluetooth device and search for
CTBTSR9050
7. Press the Bluetooth Pair Button (G) on the unit and
accept CTBTSR9050 on you external device
8. The BT indicator light on the unit will turn solid
you are now connected
Note: If asked for a pass code, enter “0000”
Using the Headphone Jack:
1. You can directly connect the CTBTSR9050 to an
external speaker or headphones using a standard
speaker cable
2. Plug the speaker cable into the Head Phone Jack (K) of
the CTBTSR9050 and connect the other end to your
head phones or other external speaker.
3. Play music through your head phones or external
speaker.
Note the CTBTSR9050 speaker will not play with
head phones or an external speaker connected. The
head phones or external speaker will play
Using the AUX. IN Jack:
1. You can directly connect a non-Bluetooth enabled
device to the CTBTSR9050 using an AUX cable
2. Plug the AUX cable into the AUX IN Jack (J) of the
speaker and connect the other end to your device
output
