Quick Start Guide
MIC BOOSTER CT 1 / CM-1 / CM-2
Thank you for purchasing a Klark Teknik Mic Booster! These compact units add signicant gain boost to your passive microphone signal to
ensure strong, clear delivery to a mixing board, preamplier or interface.
*note – the CT 1 can also be connected directly to most microphones
Setup Procedure
Warning – either mute the mixer channel, lower the volume all the way, or turn o the speaker system before making connections.
1. Connect a fairly short balanced XLR cable (<30 feet) from the microphone to the input of your Mic Booster. Note that phantom power
cannot be passed to condenser mics, and therefore they shouldnt be used along with a mic booster unit.
2. Connect the output of the Mic Booster to a mixer, preamp, or interface via balanced XLR cable. Long cable runs can be used for
this connection if necessary, but high quality XLR cables with low capacitance are recommended to avoid high frequency degradation.
3. Engage phantom power on the mixer or other receiving equipment.
4. Check the gain setting on the receiving channel of your mixer or interface since the signal will be much greater than typical mic levels.
