Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Serves: 2 - 4
Set temp: 180°C
Set time: 20 - 25 mins
Ingredients:
Sponge:
50 g Self raising flour
50 g Caster sugar
50 g Margarine
1 tbs Ground almonds (optional)
1 Egg
1 tsp Water
Few drops vanilla essence
Topping:
1 Small tin pineapple rings or
fresh pineapple pieces
4-6 g Glace cherries, cut in half
1 tsp Demerara sugar
Directions:
1. Sponge: Make the sponge by putting all the ingredients into
a mixing bowl and beating with an electric mixer for 1 min
until creamy, light and smooth.
2. Topping: Arrange the pineapple rings/pieces and cherries in
the base of the lined tin and sprinkle with the tsp of sugar.
3. Spoon the cake mixture on top of the pineapple and spread
gently to fit the tin.
4. Place the tin in the removable pan.
5. Place the pan in the Low Fat Air Fryer.
6. Select: Grill function.
7. Adjust: TEMPERATURE 180°C and adjust the TIME to 20
mins. Start cooking.
8. When cooked the sponge will be springy to the touch and a
light golden brown and if tested with a skewer it will come
out clean.
9. When cooking is complete switch off.
10. After cooking place a plate on top of the tin
Tarte Tatin
Serves: 2 - 4
Set temp: Default
Set time: Default
Ingredients:
1 Sheet of ready rolled puff pastry
2 Large firm eating apples
30 g Butter cut into small slices
30 g Golden caster sugar
Directions:
1. Prepare the pastry by cutting it out to fit the tin, 7”/18cm.
2. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring and then slicing each
fruit into 12.
3. Put the butter slices in the tin, sprinkle the sugar over the
butter and arrange the apple slices on top in a circular and
overlapping pattern.
4. Cover the apple with the pastry and press it down firmly
along the inside edge of the cake tin.
5. Place into the removable pan.
6. Place the removable pan into the Low Fat Air Fryer.
7. Select: Grill function.
8. Select: TEMPERATURE default and TIME default. Start cooking.
9. When cooking is complete switch off.
10. After cooking remove the Tarte Tatin by placing a plate
over the cake tin and flip it onto the plate, so the tart drops
onto the plate. Serve hot.
11. Allow the Low Fat Air Fryer to cool before cleaning as per
User Manual instructions.
