Application Details
Dosage/Coverage
Mix KLEEN KOTE 100 with water at the specified application ratio.
Coverage rates are approximate and depend on the type and porosity
of the form surface. Use only clean containers that have not been used
for acids. Do NOT mix with diesel, fuels or oils.
Notes on Application /Limitations
• Prior to application, form surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned of all concrete,
rust and previous release agents.
• If forms/form liners have fresh oil or other release agents already applied, you
must cast or clean off previously applied products prior to applying KLEEN KOTE.
• The application can be applied in one coat with brush, roller or spray.
In order to achieve maximum benefit, KLEEN KOTE should be applied with a fine,
misting-type spray tip so that the application may be in a thin, uniform film.
• A second coat application may be necessary in case of highly absorbent formwork.
• Apply KLEEN KOTE to the entire formwork, including the back side to protect from
splatters.
• Over application will not produce better results and may cause dusting. Excess
product or puddles should be removed with a squeegee and absorbent rags.
• Allow KLEEN KOTE to change from white to clear before using treated formwork.
• KLEEN KOTE must be re-applied to the forms/ form liners after EACH use.
• KLEEN KOTE 100 is a concentrate that will not freeze, however once mixed,
KLEEN KOTE may freeze.
• KLEEN KOTE cannot be applied in rain, snow or ice but once applied, will not rinse
off in these conditions.
• A small test patch is recommended to ensure uniform coverage of KLEEN KOTE.

• As a concentrate, the final manufacturing of the product is done on the jobsite
when water is added to make the product ready to use. The mix ratio range
1 to 11 through 1 to 15 parts Kleen Kote to water. This results in a product that
is over 90% water which has been added on-site.
• Typically one 3.5 gal. to 4.5 gal. pail of KLEEN KOTE Concentrate is required to
mix a 55 gal. barrel of ready to use product. Shipping a 40 lb./5 gal. pail to a
