OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
FUEL GAUGE BATTERY PACKS
Some DeWALT battery packs include a fuel gauge which consists of three green LED
lights that indicate the level of charge remaining in the battery pack.
75 – 100% charged
51 – 74% charged
<50% charged
Pack needs to be charged

To actuate the fuel gauge, press and hold the fuel
gauge button

. A combination of the three green
LED lights will illuminate designating the level of
charge left. When the level of charge in the battery
is below the usable limit, the fuel gauge will not
illuminate and the battery will need to be recharged.
NOTE:
The fuel gauge is only an indication of the approximate charge left on the
battery pack, according to the indicators below. It does not indicate tool functionality
and is subject to variation based on product components, temperature and end-user
application.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To operate the main light, press the power
button

, Product will cycle through modes in the
following sequence.
1st button press: Area light mode ON
2nd button press: Area and spot mode ON
3rd button press: Spot mode ON
4th button press: OFF
In any mode, a button press >2 seconds will power
the unit OFF. The next button press after direct
power off will return to last used mode.
To operate the secondary interior light, press the
power button

, product will turn ON after 1st button
press. 2nd button press will turn the light OFF.
TO USE THE BUCKET CLAMP,
1. Press the clamp release button

, this will extend the clamp to the fully open position.
2. Place bucket light over edge of bucket.
3. Slide clamp forward allowing it to lock into position tightly on bucket.
4. Release clamp when re-positioning bucket light. Do not attempt to re-position
bucket light while clamp is fully closed.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION:
1. Hold unit by handle portion during transport.
2. Light head should be rotated to the rear facing position to protect lens during
transport.
3. Ensure clamping mechanism is in the closed position.
TO REMOVE THE BATTERY:
1. Lift the battery compartment latch and open the battery compartment.
2. Push in the release buttons and pull the battery pack out of the tool.
3. Close the battery compartment and secure the latch.
