Klein

All
personal
OPE
systems
include
three
major
components:
(A)
anchorage
,
(B)
body
w
ear
(such
as
a
har
ness),
and
(C)
connecting
de
vice
.
Klein’

Lan
y
ard
with
Wire
Pigtail
is
used
as
a
connecting
de
vice
(the
“C”
component)
in
the
system.
The
wire
pigtail
connects
to
the
anchorage
(the
“A”
component)
and
the
lan
y
ard-end
loc
king
snap-hook
connects
to
the
f
all-arrest
OPE
har
ness
(the “B”
component).

is
designed
to
add
an
attachment
point
to
an
aer
ial
boom,
I-beam,
or
similar
str
uctural
member
to
mak
e
a
compatib
le
f
all-arrest
anchorage
.
It off
ers the strength and abrasion resistance of
a
wire
aircraft
cab
le
connector
with
the
con
v
enience
of
a
per
manently
attached
f
all-arrest
lan
y
ard
–
all
combined
in
one
piece
of
equipment.
Snap-hooks
with
11/16”
(17mm)
throat
openings
are
attached
to
both
ends
of
the
lan
y
ard.

This
connecting

anchorage
attachment

The
steel
cab
le
pigtail
has
a
vin
yl
coating
which
mak
es
it
perf
ect
f
or
anchorage
connections
on
all
types
of
steel
str
uctures
and
transmission
to
wers
.
When
using
an
y
OPE
system,
y
ou
must
be
sure
the
entire
system
meets
OSHA
regulations
. B
e
sure
the
pr
imar
y
anchorage
is
identified
and
ev
aluated
by
a
competent
person,
as
defined
by
OSHA,
at
the
job
site
. A
competent
person
must
also
deter
mine
that
the
type
of
OPE
connecting
de
vice
and
har
ness
are
appropr
iate
f
or
the
job
.
