CONNECTING YOUR CENTER CHANNEL
The Story center channel has quality nickel-plated binding posts
that will accomodate stripped wire, spade connectors or banana
plugs. Be sure to use quality speaker cables, up to 12 gauge (AWG).
The lowest gauge possible is recommended. Before using banana
plugs, be sure to remove the black and red inserts on the binding
posts. See the following diagrams in the AMPLIFICATION section
for further instruction.
AMPLIFICATION
Conventional amplification involves a single stereo amplifier
wired to a single set of binding posts with straps connecting the
second set of posts as seen in diagram above. Simply attach the
positive wire + to the red post, and the negative wire – to the
black post.
ROOM POSITION
The placement of your center channel is very important in regard
to home theater usage. The center channel produces most of the
dialogue, and 60% of the total sound in a home theater appli-
cation. It is recommended that the center channel speaker be
placed below the viewing screen or monitor (see diagram).
The Story center channel speaker is sonically matched to work
seamlessly with all other KLH speakers, and will deliver optimum
performance in all home theater applications.

to a wall, bass output can be controlled by reducing the amount
of air flow from the rear ports. You can “tune” the bass output
by using the room tuning stops provided with your speaker by
inserting as shown.
