KA-1000-THX AMPLIFIER CONNECTION AND A D J U S T M E N T The KA-1000-THX is a high-performance, THX Ultra2-certified Class D digital power amplifier with a built-in subwoofer crossover. It is designed specifically to drive one or two KW-120-THX subwoofers to maximum output without audible distortion or risk of damage. Although the amplifier’s connections and controls are simple, their use varies somewhat according to the subwoofer system’s application.
Non-THX / Analog Surround Receiver / Processor or Two-Channel Stereo System Connection – Some analog A/V receivers and processors (without Dolby Digital® or DTS® capability) have a line-level subwoofer output. Others have left- and right-channel line-level outputs, as do some stereo receivers and integrated amplifiers. All separate stereo preamps and surround processors have line-level outputs.

KA-1000-THX AMPLIFIER Réglage du filtre – Si l’interrupteur THX est en position « On », comme suggéré pour ce type de configuration, le réglage du filtre ne fonctionne pas. Son voyant d’état est rouge, ce qui indique que ce réglage est inactif. Dans ce cas, le récepteur ou le processeur assure les fonctions de filtrage d’extrêmes-graves. Si vous utilisez le modèle KL-650-THX ou KL-525-THX comme enceintes avant, sélectionnez 80 Hz (THX) comme fréquence de coupure du filtre.

KA-1000-THX AMPLIFIER 4. Netzkabel Der Netzanschluss verwendet ein abnehmbares Netzkabel mit drei Stiften. Stecken Sie das Kabel in diese Buchse, stellen Sie den Haupt-Netzschalter auf „Off“ und stecken Sie das Netzkabel in eine geeignete Wandsteckdose. Lassen Sie den Haupt-Netzschalter ausgeschaltet, bis alle Anschlüsse vorgenommen wurden. (Wir empfehlen, den Haupt-Netzschalter und die automatische Ein/Aus-Schaltung beim normalen Betrieb für die meisten Systeme auf „On“ zu lassen.
Pegelregler – Wenn der THX-Schalter auf „On“ steht (was für diesen Setup-Typ empfohlen wird), funktioniert der Pegelregler nicht. Die Status-LED ist rot, was anzeigt, dass dieser Regler deaktiviert ist. In dieser Situation übernimmt Ihr Receiver oder Prozessor die LautstärkereglerFunktionen für den Subwoofer.

3. Uscite del livello degli altoparlanti Le due uscite del livello degli altoparlanti sono di tipo Speakon ® NL2 professionale e garantiscono collegamenti semplici da usare, intuitivi e sicuri. Basta allineare l'aletta presente sul connettore alla tacca della presa jack dell'uscita, inserire il connettore completamente e quindi farlo ruotare in senso orario per bloccare il collarino in posizione (vedi figura 1).
KA-1000-THX AMPLIFIER Regolazione del crossover – Con l'interruttore THX su "On", come consigliato per questo tipo di configurazione, il comando di crossover non è attivo. Il relativo LED di stato è rosso, ad indicare che il comando è stato bypassato. In questa situazione, le funzioni di crossover per il subwoofer sono svolte dal ricevitore o processore. Quando come speaker anteriori si usano i modelli KL-650-THX o KL-525-THX, selezionare una frequenza di crossover pari a 80 Hz (THX).

KA-1000-THX AMPLIFIER 7. Controle de nível O controle de nível serve para ajustar o volume do amplificador. Ele é utilizado junto com o controle de nível de saída do subwoofer do pré-amplificador ou receiver, e serve para ajustar o nível de saída geral do sistema do subwoofer. Se o controle THX for colocado na posição “On” (Ativado), este controle não funcionará. A unidade tem um LED indicador de estado para informar o usuário se este controle está em operação: VERDE para ativo e VERMELHO para contornado.
